eat at the sushi bar for quiet conversation! great mermaid, osaka, and snow mountain rolls! fast service.

have been to osaka five times now (for sushi) and always have terrible service. on 11/16/12 took 20 minutes to get seated when over half the tables where open. after getting seated a server never came, we waited another 20 monutes at the table! five tables were seated after us and all had a server greet them within minutes. tried to complain to a manger but no one came to talk to us. i will never go back. don't waste your time or money, go somewhere else.

great food, and plenty of it. the teppenyaki is amazing, and you get a lot more food than you get at the only competitor in fargo (kobe)
it is nicely filling, but not over... while other places you may walk away hungry. i had the hibache steak with a side of rice, which you don't really need, since you get a large amount of noodles with your entree. the entertainment value, especially for children with all the antics and stunts by the chef is well worth it. a meal and a show!

i have visited this place many times, and i am absolutely in love with the food. they have great yellow tail and steak hibachi. their was a great server i think her name was el or elly can't remember. she did a great job very helpful in my food decisions, have seen her host before. love talking to her. would defiantly recommended to all my friends

great service. i was in there last night and waited for 45 mins but when i did get seated i had amazing service. i think our servers name was joel or joe and even though it looked like they were. short handed we still got everything we asked for. my husband commented that he had a lot of tables too...he is definitely a big asset to that place. i have been there for lunch when it wasn't busy and had horrible service... would go again

and i just called to ask hours. i was greeted with "hello??" and thought i had the wrong number since there was no formal greeting! so weird!!

was really excited to try right after they opened. found fish scales in both my rolls when i got home and ate them :(

new, different, and very good!. we tried osaka last night, and were very pleased. sushi and sashimi were excellent. there are some really different items on the menu that you can't find elsewhere in town. i really enjoyed the squid ginger yaki and blue shrimp. with blue shrimp you get the tails raw and the head done tempura style. kind of like soft shell crab. we sat at the sushi bar - chefs were friendly and service excellent. will definitely go back.

learning or not awesome place. my girlfriend and i dined at this wonderful establishment last week friday, and by far the best sushi hibachi place in fargo/morhead. i use to be a fan of kobes but now i will be spending my money here. the hibachi chef was very good you dont see twirling fire everyday. the wine selection was amazing. the bartender came out and explained what wine would go best with what we ate. are waitress nallie was quick with everything and very attentive. hands down awesome thank you again osaka

work on the service and you'll be golden. when we got there, i couldn't understand the manager/host.. we were seated in a booth under some vents that turned on and it was pretty cold.. we had 3 different servers that couldn't understand what we were ordering, one of them got it though.. my food came out about 4 minutes before my boyfriends food (vents were still on making the food get cold fast).. we got plenty of refills and when our food came, it was even better than i thought it would be!! i get the same thing at every sushi place and this was the best :) ... i'll be coming back, hopefully the service isn't so scattered and we don't have too much of language barrier. i feel bad for only tipping about 8%, but i didn't know who i was tipping!

food is excellent. staff is horrible. on valentines day, we were denied desert. we asked what was available, the waiter told us no desert, only check..this after spending $68 on or meal, which had not filled us up

pretty good experience. i went to osaka on a saturday afternoon. the service was rather quick and the food was good. i enjoyed the sashimi dinner box and left the restaurant full. that is not something that often happens to me at a japanese restaurant.

the ambiance is interesting. this used to be a timberlodge steak house, so the floors and walls are all exposed wood and have somewhat of a log cabin feel. osaka did a pretty good job of blending the decor to give the restaurant a unique feel.
