the soup is out of this world. i eat here about once a month--i can't go too long without my fix. i love the bulgogi dishes, but i'm really hooked on the spicy chicken bulgolgi soup. it's the perfect thing on a cold day. lots of pieces of good chicken, a great, rich, spicy broth and noodles and broccoli. it's wonderful! and owner never fails to come out and ask if everything was good. they do everything right here!

chicken bulgogi soup--awesome. i went back to the spoon after too long a hiatus and noticed some additions to the menu, namely the chicken bulgogi soup. my server, renee, who was in a word-delightful-assured me that this was a bowl of soup sufficient to be a meal. so i chose the soup and decided to try the veggie eggroll with peanut dipping sauce as an appetizer. the eggrolls were nice and hot, crunchy and not greasy. the dipping sauce was nice and mild enough to let the flavor of the eggroll come through. being something of a soup-aholic, i'm always on the look out for a good soup and the chicken bulgogi was dynamite. i'd never had it before and within the first couple of bites i was hooked. it has a great, rich broth with tender pieces of chicken, lots of noodles and some onions and broccoli as well. nicely seasoned, just a touch of hot spice. this is one of my new favorites. renee said there are more menu upgrades coming this summer, including new salad choices.

off to a good start. this is a brand new restaurant, which, as of 1.16.10 is still operating on an introductory menu, they say they will have more offerings in about a month.
the atmosphere is nice, neat and clean; the space is modest sized with 10 tables. two walls are glass, two are painted terra cotta, with tasteful glass lamps hanging over the tables. the effect, however, is a bit like being in a fish bowl. the feel is warm but not cozy or romantic. there is a small bar, but no alcohol is served.
we tried the egg rolls, one veggie and one pork and i would call them crispy, fresh and above average without that characteristic greasy taste that many have.
the bulgogi was very good, with some nice crisp veggies, although i thought the portion was a bit small.
we also tried the shrimp fried rice and it smelled and tasted very good. the whole meal was under $22.00
i will definitely go back and i hope to see an expanded menu, but i think it has great possibilities.
