fresh delicious food, made to order. the egg drop soup is the best i have had anywhere in the world. tofu bowl combo for lunch is my favorite dish, but the authentic bimimbap is superb. every person i have taken here loves the food. have lived in edwardsville for five years and this is my pick for best restaurant in town.

wow! a great place, with good fresh food and decent prices. the ribeye beef bulgogi is fantastic. it melts in your mouth. the gim rolls are made with crystal noodles and are yummmmm. why did it take me so long to find this hidden gem of a restaurant?

my hubby's spicy chicken bowl has a great sauce and hits the spot. but, i ordered a yellow curry with chicken dish - it was disappointing. the chicken was low quality fried planks, the type from a frozen bag, and the curry tasted like a reconstituted bland powder. i sent it back and got the mild chicken bowl. it tastes fresh, like teriyaki chicken.

beef bulgogi soup is incredible. this is a good little korean place in edwardsville. the atmosphere is okay for a small place, and while the service can be a little slow during the lunch hour - the food is worth the wait.

i have tried the kim chi bap, bibimbap, and the spicy pork bulgogi - but by far the best dish i've had is the beef bulgogi soup. it reminds of pho - deep flavors! i can't bring myself to try anything else when i go there now.

serendipity. decided to have our new year’s diner at our favorite chinese only to discover that it no longer existed. wandered aimlessly down 159 in edwardsville till we saw an oriental restaurant that defined hole in the wall. we decided to kiss a frog. the waiter told us that they were korean (which we had never tried) and explained the menu.

it was wonderful. on the waiters advise we had crispy egg rolls, kinchi and split an order of spicy pork bulogogi. delicious and cheap. we have found a new favorite place.

love it! wonder if the people who gave it bad reviews were eating somewhere else because i think they're totally bonkers! even my dad, who is super picky, liked his beef bulgogi. it's a little pricey for me, but whenever i have a little extra money i love to eat here. everything is delicious. the only downside is the very small, noisy dining space.

delicious & affordable. the oriental spoon is my favorite restaurant, we eat there for valentine's day, anniversaries, and birthdays. the food is korean and it is delicious. i have never eaten something i didn't like- although the names are a bit challenging. for appetizers, i'd recommend the egg rolls with peanut dipping sauce and the seaweed wrapped gim rolls. to drink, try one of their real fruit teas- the pear flavored quince is my favorite. for dinner, i'd recommend any of the 'bulgogis' but the spicy pork is my favorite. my new favorite is the 'beef bulgogi bap'. for dessert, try the korean pancakes with maple filling and jelly on top.

the spoon now serves alcohol and i would highly recommend the black raspberry saki.

food is moderately priced for a nice, sit down dinner. my husband and i usually get two appetizers, two entrees, and two teas, which costs about $35.00

enjoy!
