we went there today for office team lunch. we were 16 people. nice place. good place for south indian food. mainly coconut oil.
we were 8 veg people and 8 non veg people. i was veg. and so i have pics for only veg items.
it has a nice ambience. inside is cool, but outside is also has its own super view.

service - service was awesome. they explained about the food nicely. we forgot one of our id card. they immediately called us. and gave us back. 5/5

location - prime location. nice place. if you are sitting outside then try not to visit on a sunny day. otherwise all good. we ordered so many items, so it's difficult to explain one by one everything. 4.5/5

food - i liked the food. it's mainly made by coconut oil, so few of us didn't like. but i think that's their expertise. 4/5

i wanted to give overall 4.5 rating but that's not possible it seems. so 4/5

this place is wonderful... the food is fantastic, tasteful and varied... the menu is imaginative and some things are unusual... there was a drink with foam named after the varthur lake... highly recommend a visit, especially with out of town guests, the fried snack served at the beginning of the meal tides you over till the freshly prepared food is served, service is attentive and our server was able to advise us on our order for spice levels and portions

fantastic place, wonderful ambience. authentic karnataka cuisine with amazing taste. on the expensive side but totally worth it, everything was freshly prepared.

service is not upto the mark for the rates they are charging, they missed our starter order and after waiting for almost 20mins they offered to bring the previous order, after we finished the starters we waited for almost 15to20mins to get the main course which was ordered in the beginning itself. without serving anything they informed us their kichen closes at 2.30 pm and we should close our order . food taste good, amenities good.

very dissapointed with the food. had very high expectations. the donne biryani lacked flavour. the meat wasn't even salted. to end the bland fare, we were served dosa batter or what they call 'elaneer payasa'. an utter waste of money.

this place is one of the best meals i have had in recent times in bangalore.  lovely ambiance on the floor above windmill crafts; fusion decor of trendy and ethnic coupled with the yummiest food on the table makes oota a must visit for anyone looking to explore authentic karnataka cuisine. 
the falling of the bone nalli; the papadams with podi combined with the aromatic ghee rice tickled my appetite to go on. the akki rotis with the creamy kundapur chicken was very tasty and the holige was perfect with the right amount of sweet.

my craving for neer dosa and chicken curry made my friend discover this place. omg! this place has the best ambience and friendliest staff. the portion served was sufficient for 2. authentic chicken curry with perfectly balanced flavours made my day !!

wow, who knew we had such variety of food in karnataka!

the chefs' take on the salads is amazing - don't miss the menthya pachadi.

great service too; staff always ready to accommodate social requests.

i loved the ambience. the food was delicious. i think the place was expensive ( it was a office lunch). i loved the payasam and the tender coconut cooler.!

the ambience was awesome with proper focus lights wherever necessary. the service was extraordinary where the people told us about what the food is made of, suggested us to eat with our hands so as to get proper taste. i've never come across any restaurant where people insist eating with hands just to feel the taste. they even explained why they use cutleries found there. they took extreme care in serving the dishes. and a must mention is that me (who just tastes a spoonful nonveg) can assure that the chicken tasted so good. the neer dosa is one thing that i loved! the coconut kulkand dessert is just yum!

amazing ambience and great quality of food. authentic and tasty, well prepared and presented.
the twist on the drinks is something to try out too.
and of course a very knowledgeable staff that helps you choose right combinations and portions.
just love the place!!

"karnataka savvy"

there are some places you are delighted you visited. places that give you one of the best culinary experiences to you. places that you leave with a promise to be back. places you become a brand advocate for.

i have recently added oota to that list of places. the staff is super amazing and courteous and responsive. place has an amazing aura, a mix of tradition, culture and sophistication. the utilization of spaces is brilliant. more than the ambiance, the aesthetics of it are perfect.

menu is a spectacle. every thing on the menu is brilliantly classified and described. there shouldn't be any complaint with the prices.

seats are comfortable. service is perfect.

loved the condiments and chutneys provided with the assorted poppadoms. the rasam was perfect and so were the bhajjis. 

definitely recommended!
