celebration dinner with family, and was definitely the perfect choice for that.

service was exceptional and the ambience was amazing. the lighting was so perfect and relaxed. there you have it for the price you pay for fine dining.

food was remarkable, everything was perfectly done and because i was pregnant i had to miss out on the raw dishes and experienced a couple of dishes that iv never tried before from them.
i can't remember what the full component of the dishes were made of but i assure you it was super delicious.

i had to have my steak well done and that is not usually how i like my steak and so to keep things fair i'd say that they did a very marvellous job with that dish.

highly recommend for a special evening with your special someone.

we came here and had the degustation. i think it was eight courses. the restaurant is very trendy and modern. the menus are on ipads. the staff are extremely polite and helpful when explaining the dishes. food was exceptional and left us feeling very happy. we had a great experience.

attentive service. knowledgable staff. friendly staff. simple food cooked well without a lot of wankery. great wine selection. pricey but when food + service is this good its not an issue. nice.

lovely staff and atmosphere really enhanced what was a magnificent dining experience. stunning scallops, succulent rib eye accompanied with exquisite flavours. a memorable meal!

we had a superb meal here on friday night. the ambience so welcoming with a fire to sit by while we waited. the food was of a very high calibre and the menu offered a good selection. prices are on the high end so don't go expecting a cheap meal and that is not to the detriment of the restaurant. you will get what you pay for a  wonderful culinary experience  .

have eaten here a couple times and each time the dinner has been great along with the service. last time we were here we had the degustation with matching wines and it was perfect.

good service but my steak was over cooked and my wife was violently sick a few hours afterwards. can only equate this to food poisoning and although one can't be sure, i wont be going back anytime soon.
terrible end for our wedding anniversary.

had an extraordinary experience here one night. had a large work dinner here so we were in a private room. we order from an ipad instead of traditional menu, the ipad was so cool and gives a fancy feeling straight away. had the scollops for entree which was perfect!! had the blueberry cooler drink it was on point as well. the eye fillet was superb and love the little set up around it because it had sweet and sour components (mustard.. pickles.. radish etc) it is so interesting to try the meat with the different combo as it creates new flavours. the smoked mushroom was perfect with the steak. had the 53% chocolate for dinner and omg it was the best, wasn't too sweet as they had a pink raspberry sour sorbet to balance out the sweet. overall this meal was perfect. staff was so nice. timing of meal was good. atmosphere real nice too. would definitely come back!!!!

been here a few times and love the food. however, i bought a grabone voucher and i called to make a reservation and the staff on the phone was so rude. he made me feel like i begged them for free food (paid $150 btw).

the service is totally different from when i went there and pay in full.

honestly, if you they do not want people who use the voucher to go there, then do not sell voucher on grabone.

the best restaurant in auckland, no joke food was incredible the scallops were to die for and the lamb belly was out of this world. couldn't fault the mains or desserts. staff were amazing, and the drinks list was incredible. 10/10 all round!

came here last night to celebrate my birthday with my partner. one tree grill is such a beautiful place. it's modern but also professional. we were greeted and then asked for our jackets. something not all top restaurants do which was a surprise to me. but i really liked it.
the atmosphere was romantic and calm. our menu's were on ipads which i really liked as you could see a picture of each meal in the menu. we were offered some complimentary bread bun with butter and then our entrees has arrived.
entree: i had the seared scallops and my partner had the raukumara venison tartare. both meals were delicious. everything was cooked beautifully and the flavours in both dishes complimented each other.
mains: my partber had tge gameford bodge duck breast and i had the freedom farms pork belly. yet again we were wowed by our meals. both were very delicious, cooked beautifully and all things in the dishes worked well togther.
sides: we also got the sides, which were the agria potato chips(thyme flavour) and roasted beetroot, with pickled carrot and seeds. these side dishes were delicious as well. i really enjoyed the roasted beetroot with the pickled carrot. that was something different but delicious!
dessert: we had the rubard and custard. mmm another delicious dish. everything was perfect me and my partner ate this in probably less than a minute of it arriving.
overall me and my partner loved coming here. we were so pleased with everything we are planning to come again. it's worth the try. such a beautiful place with such professional and nice people.

this was our second visit to one tree grill.
my wife had raw kingfish with cucumber, kimchi, etc. & i had venison tartare as entrées. for the mains, we had duck breast & market fish with cauliflower, spinach, crab & capers. the entrées & the duck breast were beautiful, but the one with john dory tasted a bit ordinary. i would say, i enjoyed the dinner & this was definitely better than the first time.

we have fancied a dinner at one tree grill for a long time. at last we were there for a 6-course degustation dinner. ora king salmon, seared scallops & lamb belly came as entrées. salmon was interesting with wasabi, etc., scallops were nice, but lamb belly was not seasoned evenly. i had eye fillet with ox cheek, shiitake & pumpkin - tasted good but slightly over-salty. my wife had market fish (snapper) with spanner crab - fish was lovely but crab meat was overwhelmed by the sauce. desserts were meyer lemon curb with frozen yoghurt, blackberries, vanilla & sherbet & 53% chocolate with passionfruit, hazelnut & freeze dried raspberries - too much sourness instead of sweetness. on the whole, it was a good dinner but without any surprise. (food - 4/5; service - 4.5/5; ambience - 4.5/5)

had dinner here tonight for my mums birthday, our server patrick was really very nice, and didn't hang around too much so that was good. the food was ok but too pricey for what it was, mum enjoyed her duck and it was cooked the way she likes it, dad enjoyed his steak and our friend enjoyed her steak aswell. my tarragon gnocchi unfortunately wasn't great or to my tastes but i thought i would give it a go, the bread at the beginning was delicious as were the chips i got on the side. nice atmosphere, but could have done without the music as it gave me a headache. menu needs updated on here, it has changed a lot.

please be careful with using their vouchers and make sure you read the term and conditions - you need to spend $200 dollar to receive a promised $50 vouchers and only do it in certain days and time. be aware

second time coming here and this place is still amazing. came here on a weeknight and the place was busy and had a great atmosphere.
we ordered two entrees - salmon and venison tartare, as well as some oysters. the venison was divine and had such a good combination of flavours.
oysters were fresh and also had to option to be served tempura-d.
for mains we had the eye fillet and duck breast. i reckon the duck breast is the best dish i've ever had, the meat was so tender, the other parts of the dish complimented it very well. also had the potatoes as a side and we finished the meal very satisfied and very full.
the service is absolutely amazing, the waitress tending to us was attentive without being annoying, and the staff that served up our food were friendly and explained each dish in detail.
we'll hopefully return here again another time for dinner!
