ok pizza. i stopped by for lunch. had the buffet, i was not really impressed. it was ok but nothing to really get excited about. maybe i made a mistake. because i have heard others say that by ordering off the menu the food is great. the food on the buffet was slightly above average. i tried several slices with different toppings and none of them really sang to me the pizza has a decent medium to thin crust. that is average to a little sweet.
thepastawith 3 different sauce choices were all ok. again nothing to impress.
overall i though the food was ok, but i noticed the buffet was out of pizza half the time i was there. so whenever pizza was brought to the buffet there was a stampede to get a couple slices. they have a buffet lunch special for beer pbr for 75 cents. so i had one. made lunch a little better. they have a large interesting menu. with several choices you do not often see. so when i stop by again i will order off the menu. and see if the buffet was a mistake and the menu will make up for it.

to put things in perspective. later that day my brother called and asked if we wanted to meet at dions for a quick bite. i think there pizza was a step above what i had for lunch.

my top choice is still upper crust in santa fe.

pizzaz at the old town pizza parlor. there is so much to like at this place. to start, the essential features of great food and a comfortable atmosphere are enough for any restaurant. however, the friendly service and affordably priced menu items make otpp one of this city`s best restaurants. the meatball hero is among my favorite sandwiches even. the bread has a crust that is crispy like tissue paper and still retains a soft bed to cradle some plump, juicy meatballs. the sauce in neither too sweet nor acidic and the do not hold back on the cheese. the salads are massive and always fresh. also, housemade dressings are tasty and cleverly served on the side. ifpastais your thing you must try the baked green chile fettucini alfredo. the large and welcoming dish arrives hot out of the oven with mounds of molten ricotta cheese. you will find enough green chile in here to season, not overwhelm the sauce or singe you taste buds. you will burn your tongue if you dig into thispastatoo early. beware, if you are the type of person who likes those corporate food factories that look like small hotels, this is not apastafor you. when you try their dish it may well ruin you on those pasty, processed piffling plates for good. pizza is the star here and they take it seriously. enough so, that founders went to the pizza expo in las vegas for business and studied their craft. the result is a pie made with the best ingredients and many tempting specialty toppings. there is beer, mine and coke in the bottle too. the last part i am still waiting for are some gooey desserts so that my doctor can finally write my lipitor prescription!
