old town pizza parlor

ok pizza. i stopped by for lunch. had the buffet, i was not really impressed. it was ok but nothing to really get excited about. maybe i made a mistake. because i have heard others say that by ordering off the menu the food is great. the food on the buffet was slightly above average. i tried several slices with different toppings and none of them really sang to me the pizza has a decent medium to thin crust. that is average to a little sweet.
the pasta with 3 different sauce choices were all ok. again nothing to impress.
overall i though the food was ok, but i noticed the buffet was out of pizza half the time i was there. so whenever pizza was brought to the buffet there was a stampede to get a couple slices. they have a buffet lunch special for beer pbr for 75 cents. so i had one. made lunch a little better. they have a large interesting menu. with several choices you do not often see. so when i stop by again i will order off the menu. and see if the buffet was a mistake and the menu will make up for it.


to put things in perspective. later that day my brother called and asked if we wanted to meet at dions for a quick bite. i think there pizza was a step above what i had for lunch.

my top choice is still upper crust in santa fe.

best pizza in town! we go here at least once a week and are never disappointed. consistently delicious pizza, friendly staff and local. can't beat that!

yum! yum! this place is fun and the food is really good. the pasta, pizzas and salads are really yummy. i would say the only bad thing is parking because of the location you will have to walk a bit to get there.

best pizza in burque!. this is the best place for pizza in this city. crust is good, not soggy and the toppings are fresh. i've never had the buffet, only ordered from the menu, but i've been pleased every time. the service is decent enough and everyone is friendly. the good beer and nice patio always make for a nice outing!

good pizza place!. best place to eat in old town. although most places here are terrible so take that in context. white nachos appetizer is worth the trip alone. pizza is fresh and good although the crust could be crispier. nice quaint little place. food was served quickly and service was good.

really yummy but don't get the spicy sauce!!! it is way too spicy and i could hardly enjoy my pizza (i still did though but man my mouth is on fire)

i'm surprised by all the praise heaped on this place. after ordering carry-out, i had to wait more than 20 minutes longer than they told me it would take to get my food. and it was not worth the wait. don't believe all the hype about the white queso nachos; they are nothing special. and my meatball sub was bland. it wasn't bad food, but it was certainly unremarkable.

i love old town pizza parlor! delicious food- i have yet to eat something i haven't liked there- the salads are always fresh and yummy, and they're always willing to adapt your pizza, which is great as a vegan! a definite stop if you're in albuquerue!!

came for the buffet. the pizza was fresh out of the oven and tasty. the pasta was flavorful. good choices on the salad bar. you even get parmesan twists and warm cinnamon rolls too. the mint iced tea was a refreshing treat.

awesome!. my husband and i stopped in with some friends and had some amazing food! the atmosphere was great on their patio, we plan on going again very soon!

only in abq. could people possibly think that this is good pizza. cardboard for crust, sauce out of a can, shotty out of the sysco box toppings... any of the chains are better than this and i hate the chain pizzerias.

pizza at it's best. pizza's are great but dont miss the otp white nachos! da-bomb!!

old town new favorites. we decided to try old town pizza this weekend and we are glad we did. we tried the white nacho appetizer which is .... wow they are so good! we also tried the parlor pie which was really good as well. both dishes had wonderful fresh ingredients and lots of herbs.
we will be back to try other pizzas and have more nachos.

old town delight. what a delightful restaurant in old town! husband and i both enjoyed our meals here. he ordered the 10" parlor pie. nice sized pizza with a very well appointed pizza - just the right amount of stuff on it. i had a calzone with sausage, olives, and red onions. sometimes you get these massive calzones that could feed you for days, but this was just big enough to get two meals out of it. it wasn't overly stuffed and the top was slightly crispy, while the rest of it was nice and soft. the calzone came with both marinara and olive oil, which i thought was a nice touch, but the olive oil didn't quite work with it. the marinara is light but has plenty of flavor. and for being in a tourist-y part of town the prices were very reasonable.

great subs. i had the mozzarella, pesto, and tomato sub here a couple of weeks ago. it comes with chips, but i was already so full from the sub that i couldn't eat them. very fresh and tasty sub - perhaps a little on the greasy side, but let's face it, grease is good, and there was still plenty of flavor from the ingredients. loved the mint iced tea here too. very good service, especially considering we sat here for much longer than we thought we would and they provided us with plenty of refills. can't believe i had never been here before last month. definitely recommended.
