visiting albuquerque. nice place to stop and eat. the first thing we noticed was how great the place smelled. we liked the food so much that we ate their 3 days in a row. the waitress (darlene) remembered our names and the order the second time we visited. she and the other staff members were excellent. the food was a little pricey but the food quality and the amount was worth the price. over all a good place to eat with the friendliest staff around and good food. we will be back to visit albuquerque and our first stop will be old town pizza to eat and say hello to darlene.

the pizza is really good! i like the gut buster, you can choose 8 toppings and it's whatever you choose or feel like. we live close and order it to go regularly.

buffet not worth it.... we went in today for the weekend lunch buffet, which was disappointing to say the least. only two types of pasta, a small salad bar and one pizza were all they had to offer for $7.99 per person. if the price had equaled what they made available, i might not be writing this review. but to only offer one pizza for the entire dining room for nearly $8.00 per person is unacceptable.

that restaurant, the old town pizza parlor, is named in tribute to tafoya’s grandparents and the restaurant lineage he inherited. he also honors his grandparents with a vintage photograph of them beside an “in loving memory” placard under glass on the por

pizzaz at the old town pizza parlor. there is so much to like at this place. to start, the essential features of great food and a comfortable atmosphere are enough for any restaurant. however, the friendly service and affordably priced menu items make otpp one of this city`s best restaurants. the meatball hero is among my favorite sandwiches even. the bread has a crust that is crispy like tissue paper and still retains a soft bed to cradle some plump, juicy meatballs. the sauce in neither too sweet nor acidic and the do not hold back on the cheese. the salads are massive and always fresh. also, housemade dressings are tasty and cleverly served on the side. if pasta is your thing you must try the baked green chile fettucini alfredo. the large and welcoming dish arrives hot out of the oven with mounds of molten ricotta cheese. you will find enough green chile in here to season, not overwhelm the sauce or singe you taste buds. you will burn your tongue if you dig into this pasta too early. beware, if you are the type of person who likes those corporate food factories that look like small hotels, this is not a pasta for you. when you try their dish it may well ruin you on those pasty, processed piffling plates for good. pizza is the star here and they take it seriously. enough so, that founders went to the pizza expo in las vegas for business and studied their craft. the result is a pie made with the best ingredients and many tempting specialty toppings. there is beer, mine and coke in the bottle too. the last part i am still waiting for are some gooey desserts so that my doctor can finally write my lipitor prescription!
