o'galito

we were atableof 10 that went there. at first the service was slow and we waited over an hour for our food. we started complaining and the manager (her name pretty) was great, she sorted out the orders. was not long and the food came. the kitchen "forgot" about 3's food and they waited another 10 min. pretty made up for all of the waiting by giving us free coffees and deserts and see took over our table. if it was not for her we would never go back ...now we will. the food was great. thanks pretty

we went to o'galito's today for lunch for the first time in almost a year. i was extremely dissapointed in how this restaurant has gone backwards!!!!! firstly thetablewere extremely dirty and the "plastic inlays" on thetablewas all torn. the grooves around the inlays were filled with dust and pieces of old food!!!! then came the menu's!!!! what a absolute disgrace!! all the menu's were dirty and torn. after ordering our food we had to wait 90 minutes for our food and then were told that they forgot to defrost the kingklip that morning. after speaking to the "manager" we finally got our food and then got some small dessert (dom pedro's with no whisky or vanilla milkshakes, i am not sure what it was supposed to be) on the house. but......... unfortunately by then the damage was done already. i actually cannot believe that no covid protocalls were followed and that the restaurant and it's menu's,tableand chairs are so thilthy!!!

haven’t been to o’galito in a while and decided to do lunch there. place was busy and we waited for atableto open. there was a 2 seater, but the manager asked us to wait for a bigger table, which i appreciated. once thetableopened, we were taken there and our drink orders were taken. we opted both for chicken schnitzels (one with chips, one with salad). not a lot of chips were served and i noticed the spicy salt wasn’t on there either. maybe some people didn’t like it. overall good experience.

you can never go wrong with o’galito, the food is amazing and their cocktails! the only downside is the wait for atableduring their busy nights especially if you haven’t reserved a table

as you walk in you immediately feel the rush of sunday afternoon lunch. the restaurant was packet with couples, friends and family enjoying themselves.

the manager made sure we were helped with atableand cutlery. once we ordered drinks, we were served with freshly bakes mini loafs with butro on the side.

this restaurant is very quick on service, serve with pride and professionalism.

we really enjoyed our lunch meals, their steaks are just as you prefer it, creamy cheesy sauces and golden fried chips. although the deep fried potatoes needed more seasoning, we still left as happy customers.

went here a little while ago where service left a lot to be desired! the waitress counted the bread rolls and accused us of hiding bread cos there wasn't enough for each of us at thetableof 16 people. other waiters kept stealing the chairs from ourtablewhile we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive and never bothered to even ask us. not a great experience... food was alright.

oh dear, i forgot the photos!  dinner was lovely ... sitting inside there was a lively buzz of good food, wine and conversations.

the peri-peri chicken with baked potato (a monstrous potato) looked amazing!!!!  the prawn and artichoke soup looked rich, creamy and our friend said it was really good.  hubby had the prego steak with calamari ... my goodness, i had 1 calamari tube and it was so tender and juicy.  i had the starter portion portuguese sardines ... 3 sardines topped with green pepper ... absolutely scrumptious!!!!

amazing restaurant!!!!!!  i was meeting hubby for lunch at centurion mall and was looking for restaurant with water view.  o'galito's was only one with tables outside.

my waiter, teach, was really brilliant!  i was an hour early and wanted to sit in the shade.  so i chose atablein the shade, but teach realised the sun will shift ... so he brought an umbrella to open.

view is fabulous!  sitting underneath a tree, listening to birds twittering away and see them build their little nests ... priceless!

warm, crispy bun served beforehand.  dipped it into olive oil-balsamic vinegar mixture and i swooned.

hein had one of their lunchtime specials ... chicken schnitzel with cheese-mushroom sauce with chips.  the sauce was really good and he enjoyed his meal.

i chose the portuguese sardines starter ... oh yeah!  3 grilled sardines ... to perfection!!!  the heads were sooooo crunchy i ate it whole!!!!  portion was just perfect for me!!!!

the managers were walking around, asking if things were good ....  wow.  i will really go back again!!!!!!!!!

generally the service is impeccable, waiters are friendly and are attentive to customer requests. in one case, i had a waiter offer a card so that one can call ahead and order so as not to wait while an order is being prepared for take-away. the waiter did this out of his own accord.

food options are fairly variable, with something to cater for all tastes.

in one incident however, an open butter container that had already been used was brought to mytablewith bread. upon telling the manager, i was told that it has simply melted rather than receiving an apology. this is why i cannot rate this establishment a 5.0
