bloody good feed. haven't been to the norman for years so when i saw it pop up on living social i grabbed it and was not disappointed. place was packed on a tuesday night but the service was very quick and friendly. only about 5 mins in line to place the orders, get the buzzer and hand in the receipt to the bar staff for the included bottle of wine, by the time we sat down the buzzer sounded for our garlic bread starters ready to pick up and they were yummy, usually not a fan of the pizza bread type, but these were good. about 10 minutes after we were licking our fingers after the bread, the buzzer sounded our mains - i bolted over for our 2 prime rib on the bone with all the trimmings and these were all hot and ready very very quickly with wonderfully friendly and courteous staff - succulent, juicy and you just wanted to pick up the bone it was that good - i even ate every bit of that mince filled potato which is still good after all these years. i see the traditional coleslaw has changed to a mixed green salad with a nice (and i think low fat) dressing and a fresh half tomato - being a true carnivore instead of the dreaded vegetarians, i did leave these - someone else will have to rate em.
had a look at the dessert menu just to see, very uninspiring but that was to be expected as the star attractions are the grills and to be honest we were just seeing if anything tempted us - sigh, sometimes i just feel sorry for vegetarians.
