the place is cool.foodis great. and people were so accommodating. a little bit pricey but it's worth spending for. 😋👅 you'll love their pizza.

i love how simple the dishes are but are soul satisfying. kudos to mike for suggesting dishes that i wouldn’t order but really exceeded my expectations.

i loved the interiors of the place! it was bright and very inviting, just like their staff. was fortunate to try their all-meat pizza and salmon caviar pasta, which were both really good. they also had spicy honey, which was a welcome surprise! it went so well with the pizza.foodisn't cheap but the overall experience was well-worth the price.

finally i got to eat to this resto, aside from italianfoodis my favorite, i've read so many good feedbacks about nonna's. what i liked about the resto was their unique and distinct taste. nag stick sila na hindi sumunod sa usual na lasa ng natitikman nten. they have their own signature and that's what i really appreciated. iba nmn. hindi yung kapag sinabi mong pasta with white sauce, ah, alam mo na lasa nun kasi pare pareho lang nmn ang lasa,. sa nonna's may iba silang technique (para sa akin) para maenhance yung lasa (in a good way) na ma-a-appreciate mo talaga. advice ko lang sa mga nakakabasa ng mga comments, don't get overwhelmed, just go to nonna's, try their food, and let your palates decide.

12th stop - nonna's pasta and pizzeria

after buying pasalubong at buffy's milk, we went to solenad 3, nuvali, sta. rosa, laguna for dinner. the crowded mall didn't stop us to try nonna's pasta and pizzeria. we reserved a table for 8 pax and we've waited for 10 minutes before the accommodating staff provided us our table.

nonna's pasta and pizzeria is under the team behind mama lou's pizza. actually they almost have the same menu, the difference between the two is the dough they used in their pizza. nonna's pizza is a hand-tossed pizza while mama lou's pizza is a thin crust pizza.

we started our dinner with its mushroom chicharon followed by 2 kinds of pasta and pizza.

it is not just a hype! the rating is real! allfoodthat we ordered are superb! pizzas were cooked perfect. soft and chewy dough with savory flavours and sauces. we love the mushroom chicharon, truffle pasta and the nonna’s pizza!!! ask for the chili oil and your dining experience will be perfect. we had a great birthday dinner with my family! it is difinitely a good find here in zomato!

super love this place! i don't really enjoy eating pizza but nonna's pizza is an exemption. theirfoodis super delicious! i enjoyed their pumpkin soup, their ravioli, and this! the pizza looks so simple but oh my its so good! i'll definitely come back. new favorite place for pizza and pasta. and the ambiance is a plus!

this is the first place i've ever tried mushroom chicharon, and they've set the bar pretty high for me. theirs was so good, i easily get disappointed with other brands of mushroom chicharon now 😂

we were curious with the very high rating of this place and wow, this did not disappoint!

staff was very attentive and courteous. thefoodwas really delicious and the serving size was big. there were 7 of us and we ordered 3 appetizers, 2 pizzas, and 7 pastas (1 per person). we were overwhelmed when our orders came in because the pasta can actually be shared by 2 people as we had otherfoodfor sharing. 😂

my favorites here are: mozzarella sticks, mushroom chicharon, all meat pizza, nonna's special pizza, classic lasagna, and truffle mushroom ravioli (ahhhh the cream sauce was soooooo good).

if you're in nuvali, definitely eat here!!! they don't scrimp on the ingredients and they really know how to serve good italian food.

goodfoodand big servings. availability of craft beer is also a plus.

i hope that next time mushroom chicharon is available earlier. we seem to only catch it if we dine later on the day.

before we go into thefoodmenu, let me just say, nonna's has got to be one of the best in this region when it comes to customer service. they were accommodating, the team is professional, and our requests were provided. 

now, let's go to the menu: 

when ordering at nonna's make sure to order any of their appetizers. i recommend the mozzarella sticks, but everything on the list tastes great. 

they have a wide variety of pizza items, and they have a good reason for it. pizza is probably nonna's best suit. nonna's special, four formaggi, spinach, and goat cheese were terrific! espanyola is so-so. the other thing i loved about their pizza is the crust. i don't think you'll find anything similar to their crust in laguna. pizzas definitely give you a reminiscent vibe of italy, and the ingredients taste fresh. tomato paste is bitter (for traditional filipino tasters), but it was perfect for me. the right blend of tomato, basil, and high-quality cheese takes this to the top!

the reasons why i didn't give it a 5-star rating were because of two things: the pasta and the wine. 

since it's an italian place, don't come here expecting a sweet filipino spaghetti. go to jollibee for that (not that there's anything wrong with jolibee. this is not a snobbish comment). however, even if we came there seeking italian tastes, almost all of our pasta menu was bland. the biggest disappointment was the mac n' cheese. as the name implies, the cheese should've been the highlight of the dish, but as soon as i tasted the first bite, it felt like macaroni baked in an oven. no cheese taste, no seasoning. just plain macaroni in a hot plate. yes, the ravioli and the lasagna were bearable; they're okay, but most of the pasta dishes we ordered were bland (and we ordered quite a variety). 

i'm quite hopeful to see nonna's improve since there are not many high-quality restos in the area. yes, they are expensive ones, but none that really matches the value of their price. i would love to go here every fridays for an intimate dinner with family, but i don't think we'd be ordering pasta or other mains anytime soon.

being the sister of mama lou’s, you can expect nothing less from theirfoodofferings. the authencity remains from thefooddown to the ambience of the place. the difference that i observed i think is that thefoodserved here are hardcore italian, and the interiors are much more playful compared to mama lou’s that gives you that homey feeling.
