love the new cook!!!. nochemayahas a new cook and he is awesome!!! he came to our table to explain his new menu. he even came back when we were done to see if we liked it. great service! his menu is ispired from his home, mexico! my fiance and i had a great experience. we felt like we were in mexico...the ambiance, the flavors and the warm friendly feel of the place. it was absolutely romantic. were even thinking of having our wedding there cause its so cozy, theres an awesome view of the parliment and the food (new menu) is absolutely delicious!

saludos!. nochemayais well situated. from the patio, one has a great view of the parliament buildings across the river. the wine selection is good. we enjoyed the "soupe crécy", fajitas and salad on a recent visit. one guest had the enchiladas and said they were good. good and convivial atmosphere; live music provided by the owner himself accompanied by a lovely singer. will have to pay another visit and taste various dishes in the near future.

really like it. the nochemayais the place i always go when i want to have a good mexican meal and have fun. the food is really good and the music is wonderful, you feel like you are in mexico at home, you eat, dance and have fun. what a good ambiance. i really really like going there. try it and you will enjoy it.

a piece of mexico at gatineau. the last summer me and my family went to noche maya, ́cos we were visiting ottawa and after a few days spended there, we started to miss mexican food, we heard about a few restaurants in the area, but nochemayawas the most recomendated resto in the entire zone!!! at the moment of our arrival at the resto, we were recieved with the tipical music, and all of the lil details that give to the restaurant the exceptional sensation that you ́re in mexico!!!.... about the service, it was very grateful, at the moment we saw the menu!!! we saw a lot of dishes a huge gamma of them, after that we ask for the drinks, and they had the special drink ... tequila!!!!... and about the dishes o.m.g.!!! the spicy food at the moment we taste it!!!! it was a flashback directly to mexico city!!! mi father can not eat spicy so we ask for something else, and there was no ́problem about it!!!...they give him a dish without any "chile" but with a lot of mexico on it!!!... we had a great night.... cos after we ate we had live music!!!! we sang a while, we drank, and even we danced!!!!.... it was such an experience!!!!.... an experience fully recomendated!!!! fully!! if you you ́ll never regreted!!!....

terrible place !!!. they took original recipes and totally destroyed them. it's almost like they tried to make mexican food with what was available at metro supermarket, replacing or omitting most of the key original ingredients and spices that makes true mexican cuisine what it is. nochemayahas absolutely no respect for authenticity making it no better than mexicali rosa's or lone star, at least the last two do not pretend being quality cuisine. the presentation is a gross attempt to imitate french cuisine, obviously a strategy to fool you into thinking you are eating quality food and also an excuse to serve you very small portions. these people are far from experts at what they do. an absolute rip-off!

you have to try it!!. i went to nochemayafor the first time a few weeks ago. i had the frijole flautas for starters and the enchilladas mole for main course. the food was delicious, tastes the same as when my husband and i go to puerto vallarta for the winter. the ambiance is perfect with the owner who plays nice mexican music and the colorfull decor. it was a really nice experience. won't be the last time we go.

if you have three hours to spare.... wow. i'm going to say that nochemayais the worst restaurant experience i've ever had.

i love mexican food and was excited when we went there for a family member's birthday. it was my first (and only) time at noche maya.

our party (of 15) called ahead and made reservations for 6:30. when we arrived, the restaurant was fairly busy, and we were seated in the main room. our drink orders were taken fairly quickly, but our food orders were not taken until around 7:30. far too long. i had to ask for nachos and salsa because we were all very hungry.

about 45 minutes after our food orders were taken, the food began to arrive... slowly. about half our party got their food by 8pm. some of the rest of us waited another 15 or 20 minutes before receiving our plates. by the time my partner and i received our plates, over 2 and a half hours had gone by since our arrival, and everyone else in our party had finished eating.

many other guests arrived, were served, ate, paid and left before we even got our food.

at no one time did our waitress apologize for the long wait or tell us anything about it. it seemed like it was completely normal for this restaurant to make its patrons wait this long for food.

our sodas were flat and we were charged for drink refills (2$ each and i finished both of my drinks before my food arrived). i also had part of a calamari dish which was terrible, and a burrito which was fine but by then all i could taste was my building rage.

had we not been there for a birthday party, i'd have left without paying. i will never return.
