had my birthday dinner here. great ambiance, love the decoration, excellent service, generous portion, tasty food came out fast, & serving plates were changed before every dish. theplacewas empty when we reached at 6.30 on a saturday night but the crowd came around 7-8 so better make your reservation to secure good seats.
ordered:
1) black cod yuzu miso (recommended) - oh my goodness, the cod just melts in your mouth, love the crispy skin too
2) lobster & artichoke salad with dry miso (recommended) - the whole dish is a perfect mixture of soft & crunchy elements. looove the silky smooth noodle underneath (salivating just even thinking about it)
3) new style salmon sashimi (recommended) - not your typical cold sashimi, this style is warm but wow.. we were so closed to order 2nd plate of this, can't get enough of it.
4) miso chocolate sphere - a tad sweet for me, but love the theatrical effect of pouring hot chocolate on the tempered chocolate sphere.
5) chilean sea bass with dashi ponzu
6) soft shell crab sushi roll -can't really taste the crab. i've had better sushi, sorry
7) scallop tempura
8) yuzu pear martini
overall, two thumbs up! will definitely return to try other dishes.
