this place was on my blacklist before because of service. i decided to go back today and it's back on the blacklist by the end of the night.

tl;dr don't short an order

this is the most frustrating thing about this place. although common in many all you can eat places, i've never had a place been so consistently blatant with their order adjustments. they repeatedly had signage about food wastage so if i order a certain amount of something, i expect it.

i walked in at 6:00pm looking for a table of 2. there were quite a few empty tables but they didn't want to give us a table of 4. we were asked to wait for 15 minutes. when no other party of 4 showed up, we were shown to the empty table that was empty when we got there.

we made a first order of mostlysashimiand it came pretty quickly but it was maybe 1/3 of what we ordered. about 6:45 i put in a second order of again, mostlysashimiand some other items. other items arrived but thesashiminever came, i followed up at about 7:10 and the waitress told me that it's busy so there is a wait but she also asked if we wanted to cancel it. something was odd. i asked her if the order was missed or if it's a long wait. she tried to deflect the question. i threatened to leave without paying as the food is now 30 minutes late. she finally confessed that they missed the order and she went to look for a manager. the manager got our order bumped to the top and thesashimicame only for it to again be a portion of the order and missing toro sashimi. we asked the waitress and she said: "they just ran out". we put in a total order of 20 pieces of toro across 2 orders and got 3 pieces for the evening. the dinner was much longer than needed and we had to leave. as i was looking to get the bill, there was no wait staff available, a few even waved but never came. the table behind me with a large group was complaining that only a portion of their food came, sounds like the same thing i experienced. we went to the counter to get the bill and i decided to tip only 5% and decided to never come back again.

there is nothing more frustrating than being short order for an ayce place when it's just two people. never again.

this place isn't bad if you want ayce. they have several options for ayce from cheap to expensive. if you want all kinds of sashimi, obviously it would be the expensive ~$27 one. what made this a better deal was that they had raw oysters. although it is a slight smaller than the usual buck a shuck oysters, it was still unlimited and it tasted pretty good. i easily ate 12, which would of been $12 at an oyster place. one thing i must always get is prawn tempura. the cheapest place i know for prawn tempura is sushi garden for 7 pieces $6.95. i probably had like 10-15 pieces. just with those 2 items, i almost ate my money's worth. i also ordered a bunch ofsashimiand tataki. they were alright. i wouldn't say it is super fresh like asakusa, but it was passable. the rolls were meh, but you don't come to ayce to eat rolls, that would be dumb. we came here on monday around 9pm, it got busy as the time passed by. the service is there, but not great.

• oooohhhh my parking here is terrible!!!
please carpool if you can, even if you arrive early it is busy around here. be prepared to wait for queue. do not park at nearby malls (aberdeen & parker place) as you'll get towed.
• place is located on the 2nd floor. area is satisfactory, can do more maintenance & cleaning
• the usual all you can eat menu, add $ forsashimi(and its limited)
• service isn't bad but not great

we made reservations for 9:30pm, which turned out to be a shrewd decision as the restaurant was packed for its late night ayce priced at $13.95/adult and $8.95/child… who had to be both 12 years old and under 5ft. seriously? when did restaurants begin to discriminate based on height? anyway, here’s a list of the things that irked me greatly: 1. 45 minutes for our first order to begin to arrive. 2.sashimitook 1.5 hours, even though all the other tables were served promptly. 3. waitress asked us if we wanted oursashimisliced… what? 4. tuna was still frozen – so cold that i immediately spat it out once

i don't normally write complaints but i'm hoping it saves other people from a bad experience.

a group of us decided to go for the $14 all you can eat after 9:30. we put in our order sheets and did not get half of our order. the service was horrible, there was not enough servers for the size of the restaurant.
the sushi that came was at room temperature and wasn't cold. we ordered like 40 pieces ofsashimifor a group of 8 and only got 20 pieces. the waitress told us we have reached the limit forsashimiwhen we tried to order more.

not only did it take a long time for the orders to arrive, the lady would repeat our order out loud and told us they don't have enough food....for our last order, the waitress seem like she doesn't want to put in the order, thinking we won't finish the food. since the restaurant was closing and we were the last table there, they probably just gave us the leftover because we got stuff we didn't order. they also cut up the portion up into small little pieces to match the quantity on the order sheet. this is the first time i have been to an all you can eat restaurant where i was not full.

the bill did not have tip/gratuity stated on it. the only thing stated was the total amount and hst. the lady told me she will divided the bill up into 8, but i did not notice til after that she added tip on top herself without telling us. ended up tipping almost 30% for horrible service. i will never return to this restaurant again!

probably the best ayce sushi around richmond. the delux menu include a huge variety ofsashimiand raw oysters which was fantastic. my only thing with this place is the manager. not too sure if this guy has ever managed a restaurant before or was this a family restaurant that he inherited but his actions are quite confusing. during busy times, you see him running around the restaurant like a chicken with it's head cut off. he is constantley tapping on the tables and making his staff really on the edge. understand this is a fast paced environment but you need to relax and manage a restaurant efficiently and not acting like a kid in a restaurant. will go back, and hope he changes as alot of the surrounding tables were laughing at his actions as well.

great ayce. i've been here for the late night ayce (the cheapest); however, you have to arrive early (starts at 9:30pm) or be prepared to wait. it can get pretty busy.

there are a lot of options and the food is great. i love their salmonsashimiand their chicken teriyaki rolls.

after so many visits here, i'm still not used to the "rules" of ordering. we ordered a bunch of stuff that never came. we weren't sure if we were past our 2 hour limit because they still sent us our oranges, jello, and mango pudding. but the other rolls that we ordered never came. and we finished all the food we had beforehand. so confused.

good service.

ever since my college years ended, i was totally out of the ayce japanese restaurants phase. it's not just a fact that i could pack a lot more in back then than i do now, but also the fact that i found a new appreciation in quality over quantity. once in a while though, when the mood is right, i would still go on a sushi binging trip and devour everything in sight. i have already conquered e-bei and shabusen many moons ago, and wanted to try somewhere new. so, i visited the 2 popular ayce places in richmond; ninkazu and the longstanding richmond sushi. of course, i went to the 2 restaurants weeks apart. doing ayce twice in one week is a bit much for me to handle. ninkazu deluxe all you can eat dinner for $22.95 service was...meh, to say the least. not friendly, not anything, just seemed very robotic. the menu seemed to me to be more attractive and "decked out" than most ayce places. so here's what we ordered: sushi, sashimi, rolls, and cones. first thing's first: thesashimiwere thick

not too bad, but not that good either. i heard the ayce is one of the better ayce places in vancouver. some food (salmon, tunasashimiand tempura) are good in terms of ayce standard. somesashimi(toro, tako) are still ice cold when served. also, the sushi and rolls were poorly prepared. overall, it does offer more choice than other ayce, despite the food is not as good as i expected.
