ninkazu japanese restaurant

food is ok for ayce, didn't like how we were treated tho... as written on the menu, 12 and under eats for $13. my nephew is 12. i was arguing with her for 10mins... she needs to learn how to read her own menu!

however, like i said, bad day, mistakes happen, so i won’t say i’m never going back, but i’m only human, i can’t just shrug it off when i’m paying for it.

honestly when i first went to ninkazu, i thought everything was amazing: the food was good and arrived promptly, the servers were nice and always looking to refill the teapots. but when i went again recently, my opinion was completely altered. the food took an incredible amount of time to arrive, and the service was plain horrible. when a friend who had peanut allergies ask about the menu items, the waiter's response was simple to "not eat here." not only that, when we were about to leave, the waiter came up to us and asked for a 10% tip! we explained that we thought the service didn't deserve a tip, and only left 7% for the kitchen crew, but the waiter would not budge.

we got seated and served very promptly with tea and the menu, as for the service, it was courteous and friendly. the inside of the restaurant is rather spacious. also, not only do they offer jap ayce, they also have hotpot ayce. i've never had the hotpot here myself but i'm sure its about the same as everywhere else. so after going through their extensive deluxe menu, all 3 of us wrote down a few numbers of what we all wanted to eat and here we go………….. to start

bad service!! not only the quality of the food was really bad, but also the attitude of the employees. my and my friends went to this place yesterday. they never gave us the right orders and they served less than what we actually ordered.. we had to remind them but the amount still didn’t match.and they never apologized or did anything about it. rude, rude and just rude. at the checkout, the lady asked for extra tips and kept saying “tips aren’t included in the price.” i also saw her rolling her eyes at one of my friends when my friend gave her a dollar tips due to the bad service and bad attitude. i would definitely not recommend this place!! the employees that work there are just horribly rude!!!

an old favourite, an old-school richmond staple & still a goodie! dinner ayce is where it's at (nice selection) and lunch ayce is your best bet for overall value. personal favourite items: seafood/oyster motoyaki, chicken teriyaki, sushi cones & shrimp tempura. service is decent for an ayce spot & you get nice views if you can snag a table by a window. owned by the same people who run tomokazu so shouts out to them too.

we only ordered from the core menu but got charged for the deluxe menu. we should have looked..so partly our fault.. . so.. for 6 people, we grossly overpaid... never again.

很有問題的一家店。 all you can eat 3個人總共點了35個壽司 ，結果只上了12個。即使最後last call了，還自說自話的把你點的量給減半了, 導致最後只吃了五程飽。感覺很不好，不會再去了。差評！

a very problematic restaurant . all you can eat, three people ordered 35 pieces of sushi , but only 12 pieces were served totally . even though the last call order, they still cut the amount of halve without any asking , resulting in the end we only got 50% full. feeling not good ,at least i won't come again . bad review !

this is more a rating for delivery through skip the dishes so i'm not aware of the service. however, the food is awesome. i'm a vegetarian and i always order the avocado rolls and the agedashi tofu. the avocado rolls are always fresh and have a perfect amount of avocado in them. a lot of places like to just put a bit of avocado and a bunch of rice around it, which makes it horrible, this please doesn't and it's perfect every time. the tofu is perfectly deep fried and the sauce it comes with is delicious. i highly recommend this please for a vegetarian who loves sushi. 

again though, this is just a review through delivery.

this place was on my blacklist before because of service. i decided to go back today and it's back on the blacklist by the end of the night.

tl;dr don't short an order

this is the most frustrating thing about this place. although common in many all you can eat places, i've never had a place been so consistently blatant with their order adjustments. they repeatedly had signage about food wastage so if i order a certain amount of something, i expect it.

i walked in at 6:00pm looking for a table of 2. there were quite a few empty tables but they didn't want to give us a table of 4. we were asked to wait for 15 minutes. when no other party of 4 showed up, we were shown to the empty table that was empty when we got there.

we made a first order of mostly sashimi and it came pretty quickly but it was maybe 1/3 of what we ordered. about 6:45 i put in a second order of again, mostly sashimi and some other items. other items arrived but the sashimi never came, i followed up at about 7:10 and the waitress told me that it's busy so there is a wait but she also asked if we wanted to cancel it. something was odd. i asked her if the order was missed or if it's a long wait. she tried to deflect the question. i threatened to leave without paying as the food is now 30 minutes late. she finally confessed that they missed the order and she went to look for a manager. the manager got our order bumped to the top and the sashimi came only for it to again be a portion of the order and missing toro sashimi. we asked the waitress and she said: "they just ran out". we put in a total order of 20 pieces of toro across 2 orders and got 3 pieces for the evening. the dinner was much longer than needed and we had to leave. as i was looking to get the bill, there was no wait staff available, a few even waved but never came. the table behind me with a large group was complaining that only a portion of their food came, sounds like the same thing i experienced. we went to the counter to get the bill and i decided to tip only 5% and decided to never come back again.

there is nothing more frustrating than being short order for an ayce place when it's just two people. never again.

ninkazu japanese restaurant is located on the 2nd floor at central square in richmond.  they have 3 prices range (deluxe $29.95, lite $25.95, core menu $21.95)

we had all you can eat (ayce) dinner, but it was a bit disappointed.  we are spoiled because there are so many sushi options in vancouver. i have some expectation when i go ayce sushi that charges $25.95.

imitation abalone sushi, chopped scallop sushi, salmon sashimi, tempula

the temptation roll, torched salmon ,and  chef's special sushi are great!! there are new items added in the menu: saba sashimi , takoyaki , chef's special sushi etc

food is good with varieties and service is good too. went there last saturday dinner time and it's so busy that i have to wait for 30 minutes but food and everything worth the wait. luckily food came fast coz i was starved after the wait you know you just get starved when you see people eating while you can only wait. will definitely go there again and try the oysters. probably the only place that has oysters on the ayce menu.

i always believe there will be one good all you can eat place..but still..disappointment..the food here was okay..but they didn't give the one we ordered..they have abalone sushi and shark fin sushi..but they tasted a lot more worse than those basic sushi..however..this place is so far my first place for all you can eat..

this place has gone downhill throughout the years. used to be a popular joint for all you can eat but my last visit on a weekend showed otherwise. was not busy like usual considering it was lunch hour. super disappointed in their quality of food. miso soup was watered down and bland. sushi and hot food have shrunk in size and flavours are just not there. definitely skimping out to save some bucks. surprised this place is still in business...
