nick's san clemente

jerry & joy dunton. we have been to nicks 12 times in the last 6-weeks and it is one of our favorites! the menu is great and the ambiance and service is superb. it is always a wonderful experiance. jerry & joy

coming live from oklahoma! we checked nicks out in san clemente on vacation and it was a great experience! we had awesome service and the food was phenomenal. we had the bacon deviled eggs and the asparagus fries.. and split the fried chicken for dinner with an extra side of "their play" on mac and cheese. yes yes yes!

an excellent choose for dinner. not that expensive for fine dining especially when you can run across the road to the liquor store, the first bottle has no corkage. service was excellent and the atmosphere was really lovely. every recommendation was a hit.

the entree of prawn taquitos is a must have. a large very taste prawn was the centrepiece. we also had the ribs and they were happy to serve it with any of their sides so we had mac and cheese (actually it was orichette and cheese) and charred corn. both were excellent choices. the dessert was divine.

a must visit in san clemente (and laguna beach)

great!. great food.... large entrees. kid friendly but adult setting. wonderful cocktails.

oh, sorry about the kale and quinoa salad picture! we couldn't stop eating it!

first wine bottle at table has no corkage fee. if you would like some water, don't ask for "water". just trust me on this. however, the "antipodes" sparkling water from new zealand will satisfy even san pellegrino fans. the kale and quinoa salad is unforgettable. oh did i mention about there being no wine corkage fee on the first bottle?

used to be great. great homemade ranch dressing. was awesome 2 years ago but food quality has gone down alot. wait times are longer than you should have to wait for this one

did you know that nick’s has no corkage fee? it’s awesome. we take a bottle of wine and have some appetizers. you need to get there early to get a table. get there even earlier if you want one of the coveted patio tables. we usually sit at the bar and have a great time. my favorite appetizer is the asparagus fries. asparagus stalks coated with a light parmesan batter and delicately fried. delicioso! on friday we ate dinner. i had the salmon – really good. it had a caper mustard buerre blanc sauce and came with sauteed spinach and butter chive mashed potatoes. i opted for two servings of spinach rather than the potatoes. jeff had the prime top sirloin which had a bleu cheese crust. it came with a loaded baked potato and roasted vegetables. if you haven’t already, take an evening and visit nick’s. delicious food and, as i said, no corkage fee. share this: facebook twitter google pinterest

not worth your time. they do not care about their customers and if they screw up your food, too bad. they won't care and will not make any real attempt to resolve any of your concerns. this place has gone down hill a lot since it first opened. there are much better choices in this area if you want a good meal and service to match.

a neighborhood gem!. second vist to this nicks. food is wonderful. hearty, terrific portions and super choices. boneless fried chicken, mac and cheese butter cake, salty pear martini omg we just love nicks! decent prices, great services

awesome!. while visiting the area i met up with my sister who lives nearby, everyone suggested nick's. the waitstaff was incredible polite and sat us at the exact time of our reservation, we had incredible service and the grilled fish tacos i had were the best i've had to date! i ordered with no dairy on my plate (butter, cream, cheese) because of a mild allergy and they followed my picky directions and my food was perfect. would come back any day! thanks, nick's staff!

not as impressed as i hoped. i came to nick's san clemente last night sure this would be a favorite. the place is highly recommended and looks so inviting.

i ordered the bone-in ribeye with roasted vegetables. the steak was a nice portion size but was sadly under seasoned. texture wise it felt like it was from frozen, and not fresh cut. the roasted vegetables were dark, bitter and way overcooked. wait staff was friendly and attentive.

others in my party made a better choice than i did with the grilled mahi-mahi. each finished their dinner and really enjoyed it.

i'd try this place again, but would opt not to order the beef.

slow yet courteous service with a cool comfortable modern vibe. everyone was satisfied by the food- i would recommend the veggie burger or if you want something lighter the ahi tartare was fresh

great new menu they just launched! we go here for great people, great food and you feel like you are at home with some made from scratch meals!

i like the vibe the people aré great but they need to mix up the menu to stay fresh and as frequently as i want to go many times go elsewhere to mix it up. the veggie burger and seabass aré tops!
