neomonde bakery & deli

before raleigh was the bubbling cauldron of culinary excitement it is today, neomonde was there. the restaurant tucked behind the train tracks on hillsborough street has been dishing out lebanese food long before it was a heralded cuisine.

excellent lebanese food! super healthy and tasty! the service was great and the food was great. the hummus, tabouli, and mjadara were yummy!

middle east & mediterranean & more. if you haven't been here you are missing the best food in raleigh.

the new north raleigh store is lovely and fantastic, at lead mine and harvest oaks,

at lowe's foods & kerr drugs & bikram yoga strip shopping center.

okay.. so i really really like mediterrenean food. and neomonde has good stuff. however, it's too expensive.

reasonably priced and always fresh. some i the best hummus around. the falafal on pita is very good. i have eaten here numerous times for lunch and dinner and always been satisfied. the neomonde in morrisville is equally good in my view.

the shawarma failed to live up to the high standards i was used to back home, though the assiduously cooked meat did induce nostalgia. the quantity is generous and the service is fast and efficient. there is decent parking space available, and though we ordered take away, i felt the place had the ambiance of a mediterranean food bazaar.

the place looks wonderful and everything. you have decent lighting and colors and gives you a partial street sorta feeling. but the food fails to bring about the same appeal. i had shawarma and it is less than satisfying. there wasn't the expected flavor as you bite into the meat. it definitely should have been more grilled and smoky. the lack of veggies and good dressing quite simply elaborated the failure of the meat. the bread was fine but the marriage was a total sham.

delicious mediterranean dishes and a great selection of pastry. one of my favorite places to eat lunch. they have a nice covered patio too.

great find! wonderful food. great atmosphere. they have been here for 36 years for a reason. the decor is fresh. the food is fresher. they know something, and it works. the line goes quickly, and they bring your food right out to you. wonderful dining experience for some fresh food from the mediterranean. the variety is great.

day! the grocery store is a good source of mediterranean foodstuffs!

this is a very popular spot. the reviews are high. so common sense would lead me to try it.
i did go in the heat of lunch rush so the line was backed up and there was a little wait. but that was not a total bad thing as i had time to figure out what i wanted.
i got the lunch box - half sandwich with two sides - to go.
upon check-out the cashier asked if i wanted extra pita. i said yes and she just handled it to me. now my order was to go so what am i gong to do with a hand full of bread so i asked for a bag.
i waited a reasonable time for my order the left back to my hotel to eat.
cardinal rule#1 - check your to go order before your leave - i didn't and mine was wrong. too late to go back so suck it up and eat. the beet salad was good - i know i weird and love beets. the lamb sharma sandwich was kind of tough and chewy and the green humus - that i did not want just was not my thing. alas maybe i caught them on a bad day.

great food! i love the ability to taste and select your own sampler plate. i will be back!

my go-to favorite. i eased into a mediterranean palate, but this restaurant and recipes made it easy to love everything in the deli. hummus is the best i've ever eaten, really there's nothing bad here. now they have gluten free pita too, extra bonus!

just tried neomonde for the first time... i'm moving to this area and this will definitely be on my list of favorite new restaurants! pleasant service, helpful staff... and the good is so delicious and fresh!

just fair. the food has it's ups and downs. it's not all great. sometimes my sandwich is amazing and sometimes not.
