had the best muffuletta, fantastic jambalaya, tasty pimms, and awesome red beans and rice here. greatatmospheretoo in this character-filled building. go there! get be muffuletta!

stopped in for a refreshing pimms cup! it was really good! theatmospherewas really cool, very historic, open with fresh air flowing and a friendly bartender!

we thoroughly enjoyed our evening in the cozy interior courtyard. we were pleasantly surprised by the prices because the ambience feels more upscale at first glance. the food was satisfying but honestly not all that impressive. theatmosphereoutweighed the food in our opinion, but we would likely return if our teenagers are traveling with us. it was perfect for them.

you get what you pay for i guess. i can not recommend this place for food as it was sub par. but theatmosphereand drinks are worth stopping by for in the courtyard. i have never been let down so bad on a muffletta, i couldn't even eat half of the half!

my husband and i got the meatball po boy and although the meatballs were good (not as good as homemade) there was too much bread and we ended up eating the meat and cheese off the sandwich and left the bread. didn't care much for theatmosphereand the service was okay.

live like an emperor!. we had fallen in love with this bar the first time we wandered in, and it's one of our usual stops every time we hit the quarter. everyone raves about the pimm's cup, which is great but i personally think they make the best sazerac in town. old school bartenders with class and talent, and theatmospherespeaks for itself.

we love this place so much, we decided to have our recent wedding reception in the upstairs event room. couldn't have been more perfect for us - our guests were really impressed, the staff was great and the food.... jeezus. and the whole thing was incredibly affordable for how damn fancy we felt!

didn't love it. we are here in no for a business trip and had decided to go to stanley's for dinner but, upon arriving, realized it was a breakfast/lunch place not a dinner place. so the waitress suggested we go to napoleon house because the food was great and theatmospherewas charming. we got the hummus appetizer, which we liked, except the bread was cold and a tad stale. for our entrees, i got the shrimp remoulade stuffed avocado salad, which was good, but not great. the lettuce was in two leaves, which i had to tear up myself, the shrimp were small and there were only 4 or 5 in the dish. also the plate was mostly filled with a bunch of more stale bread. my husband got the roast beef poboy, which he liked, but didn't love. also he got a side of the jambalaya, which was okay. overall, we didn't understand what the hype was about. also, the server was very indifferent, made no eye contact, and forgot to bring my husband's drink. we won't go back.

on our second day we went to lunch at napoleon house, an iconic cafe and bar with historic french quarteratmospheresituated at 500 chartres st. locals and tourists alike flock here whether for lunch, dinner, late night, or a drink at the bar. white paint chips from the brown walls where antique framed photos hang in a haphazard collage. it is immediately charming and wants to transport you to another place and time, a characteristic i've come to realize is typical of many bars in nola.

i like theatmospherehere. the food is not awesome but it is good, better than many other places like it. great service and nice way to have a casual lunch with friends.

perfection. i love the shabbiness of this place (please don't ever change)! it is theatmospherethat makes napoleon house so special. the food is very good and not that expensive for the quarter.

classy joint. the wood bar, music, and great courtyard make this place a swank place to eat and drink. tasty muffuletta and pims cup, not the best sammich but theatmosphereand service increases the appeal.

sitting in the courtyard drinking pimms. theatmosphereof this place is fantastic! they are known for their pimms cup which is quite delicious. go for a cocktail and sit in the courtyard on a hot day in the quarter, you won't regret it!

greatatmosphere. i only had the gumbo which was ok . would love to go back and try some of their other stuff which looked really good.

real cajun food in the fq. with impostors galore in the fq, the napoleon house sticks out as a truly solid establishment from start to finish. nothing fancy, just good po-boys, boudin, muffaletta, debris, gumbo, etc. authenticatmospherewithout all the loud music, daiquiri machines, and neon lights of nearby bourbon st. many distinctly european elements thrown in for good measure... pimms cup is better than in london. the bar keep also knows how to make a mean bloody mary.
