mt. fuji steak & asian fusion

i had made a reservation for 9 people over the phone. i inquired with the man who answered if we needed to make the reservation for a certain time to take advantage of their one price special for hibatchi andsushifor $26.99. he told me no that our reservation time was fine for the special. we were told when we arrived that they were not honoring the special that week. i looked on the website and the special is still on there as a valid special. our server asked the manager who refused to honor the special. the manager said they forgot to take it off the website but they would not honor the special. i feel that this falls into false advertising if they can take away the special at any given moment even though they are still actively advertising the special on their website. beware if you are trying to take advantage of any of the specials they have advertised on their website.

love it. i went to mt fuji for the first time about 2 months ago, i have been back several times a week ever since! i love the food, the service, the people are very kind and caring and they remember you and make you feel welcome. the half pricesushidays and all you can eat days are awesome, so much food for a great price. everything is natural and super good for you! i am very sensitive to msg.. so i asked them about it, they don't use any, and they were very accommodating. i will be coming back for a long time.

fun time. the all you can eat deal is great--the selections are good and give a really good value for the money. our service staff was very attentive. we used two of the chefs as we had a whole room to ourselves with 15 people. thesushiwas included in this price. the adults and kids in the group really enjoyed everything--it made for a fun evening. we can't wait to go again.

we had not been here in a while because of the service but tonight we had the absolute best waitress. her name is jennifer. she provided a very intriguing evening. she knew the menu, was prompt, and her suggestions were dead on! i highly recommend that you ask for jennifer on your next visit!!!

mt. fuji service sucks!!!!. i brought in a group of 15 couples with and average charge of at least $100. the service was horrible but it was not the poor waitress that was given the entire habachi section.
i was one of the first customers that they served when they first opened up and i spoke to the owner and his wife that they needed to do something about hiring enough people and the right people.
i decided to try them again due to the fact that they are close to lantana....i will never do this again!!!!
the food is ok...asahi in flower mound is much better!!! i met a customer of mine that was there with his wife and they sitting at the bar...had thier first order ofsushiand then the waitress comes over and tells them that is going to be another 15 minutes before they get thier second order.
be warned...go there for the ambiance but do not go there for the service or food!!!!!!!!!! i give this place 6 months!!!!

hosed on valentine's. we made reservations which they gave away before we got there. they told us it would take ten minutes for a new seat but it took 45 minutes. once sat the reason we choose this place was it's deal on tuesday's and how close it was. the waitress failed to let us know prior that their half offsushion tuesday wasn't valid even though it was still on the sign as well as the menu. in the end they didn't valid their offer and charged us full price on everything. if they are going to not have their tuesday deal they should let you know ahead of time and not have it plastered everywhere.

besides that the food is pretty good as well as the atmosphere. i am up in the air on going again after they took my money, make your own decision, but i dislike dishonesty.

have been to this place many times. the food is good for the most part....not the best. the service has always been terrible, however. today was the last time i will go though. my wife and i went for lunch she wanted to order off the regular menu and i wanted to do their all you can eatsushispecial. we were told that everyone at the table had to order from the same menu spoke to a manager who was very rude the waitress was rude as well. i have been an apologist for this place due to the food and drink specials however after the way we were treated today they will never see another dollar of mine.

do not go here!. thesushiwas the worst i've had - mushy and warm, almost like it had been sitting in a display case for quite some time. plus, i'm not a big ginger fan, and it was all wrapped in ginger paper. the hibachi food was cooked ok, but there was no flavor to any of it. service was incredibly slow and when we were served, things were wrong or forgotten. it's a shame because it's a great atmosphere. stick to asahi for good hibachi in flower mound.

food was over-priced, took a long time to be served, andsushididn't taste very fresh.

yikes. after reading these reviews, i think i'll drive the extra half hour to go to jsushiin denton, instead - which is excellent! thank you so much for the warnings, i won't ever go there, and will tell my large group of asian food-loving friends to avoid it as well.

will not return. a little overpriced. we ordered both sashimi andsushirolls and neither were very good. there are much better places in teh area for sushi.

disappointed. we waited and were excited to hear that a hibachi restaurant was open the restaurant opened. we made reservations after work with another couple. with the reservation we waited over an hour to be seated! once seated we were all crammed around a grill with very little room in an hot area.
a server came and took a drink order but no water was offered. we ordered our food an waited. i asked the couple next to me how they liked their dragonsushiand they said don't order it! it looks pretty and that was all the good things they could say about it. our tine soup bowls arrived and were extremely hot. our group waited for them to cool. once cool the soup was good. the watered down small salads came next. yes water down my bowl was have filled with water down salad dressing. i do not know if this is the salad dressing or if the lettuce was not properly rinsed. as our drink glasses emptied our server was no to be seen! our cook arrived and prepared our food. no appetizers were served as done at most hibachi grills :( the our food portion were distributed. the food portion was really small. the other group at our table mention that she could not believe she was only being served 4 scallops! the cook told her he would prepared her more at an additional charge. as was noted with our group and the other group at the table we all left hungry! i normally leave a hibachi grill with leftovers well not here ... we left and went over to the italian restaurant for appetizers! i would not recommend this restaurant if you are hungry and thirsty our glasses were filled when our checks were delivered!

need to work on customer service. front desk not pleasant or accommodating.
sushi way too expensive.
hibachi, low volume of food.
too much emphasis on "style" rather than substance.
17.00 for a smallsushiroll, is almost too expensive even for nyc!
i hope they read this, take heed, and improve. if they do, this will be a good restaurant.

great first time experience!. we loved mt. fuji and have reservations to go again tomorrow night and meet our friends. we dined in the main area which is beautiful and tastefully decorated. my husband and daughter shared varioussushidelectables and we also had the shrimp tempura. both were delicious. i saw another couple with the coconut shrimp and the shrimp were huge! we'll try those next time. we'll be trying the hibachi grille so i'll let you know how it goes. also our server was very sweet and so was the manager, andy. highland village needed a restaurant of this caliber.
