fantastic place. my friends & i love this place. as friday night regulars we are never have a complaint. the staff are friendly always have a smile on their faces,the food is delicious and the g&t's and wine almost appear without us even asking.
and saturday morning would not be complete without the best blt's around.
my husband & i regularly pop in for a drink and a bite to eat and love the fact mt martha finely has a wine bar/cafe that serves great food and quality wine.

bad bad bad. been here a couple of times, normally ok, however waiting over 50 mins fora mid week lunch is not acceptable, when asked when our food is coming, the lady who cooks the food was rude and belligerent when i told her we did not have 50 mins to sit around and wait for lunch, she then went on to to make excuses that the "large table" had just ordered before us - that being a table of 6.................won't be back there again if they cannot even apologise and the lady who cooks the food obviously has never heard of the saying "the customer is always right"sorry mr curtis but you just lost two regular locals!

nope.. waited over an hour for a simple egg dish and almost as long for a coffee. there were very few other diners and a big team of staff yet no explanations... oh and the food was blah. standard overpriced cafe stuff, shame because it's a nice view from the balcony.

breakfast with mr curtis. nice little restaurant although gets pretty busy at night time. i had the baked eggs with baked beans, chorizo and goats cheese. the dish was well balanced and filling, the flat bread a little ordinary but the goat's cheese made up for that!!.
i would come here again.

like the setting, not sure about the food. went to mr curtis for sunday breakfast for the first time, coffee was good but the open toastie was ordinary at best. the mt martha cured ham tasted and looked like ordinary sliced ham from a supermarket, not off the bone ham that i was expecting. the bread wasn't toasted which meant the tomato and ham were both cold and the bread soggy. i only ate about half of mine as it was so unappetizing. my partner who is a eggs benedict kind of guy struggled to find anything inspiring on the menu and he too ordered the toastie but was also unimpressed. this is a great setting, comfortable with lovely views but the food was just not good enough.

i really like it. had the mushroom soup, it was wonderful. love the decor, the ambience and the staff, whole experience was lovely. only problem for me was the too steep staircase, one has to ascend to get there.

love this place and will return. would recommend making a booking as only small.

friendly, intimate, and all-round phenomenal - that's mr curtis all summed up.  hidden in a two-storey shophouse with no visible signs, save for a crochet-covered bike parked outside, this is the lesser known gem of mount martha that you need to try, stat. in the daytime, it functions as a beautifully lit café overlooking the coastline, with french doors leading out to a verandah.  but, come nightfall, mr curtis transforms into an exotic tapas restaurant / winebar. get comfortable on one of its cushion-dotted benches, and unbutton your jeans, because a feast awaits.    with chicken ribs so delicious they make my heart palpitate, this funky little eatery has certainly earned its spot on my list of top   restaurants to visit  in melbourne .  who could possibly say 'no' to some good old guacamole (aud$13.50)? let's face it - not me.  fresh, zesty and a little too damn addictive, i found myself shovelling heaps of this stuff on my corn chip. yum.  the fragrant lamb mince  (aud$12.50) came

went last night with a small group. only one person working to take orders, serve drinks, prepare and serve food.. which i imagine is great for labour costs. between the group we ordered two specials only to be told later they had run out. i ended up with a mushroom and kale pizza which was just ok. willing to try this place again but at $50 a head for a mediocre meal i certainly won't be rushing back.

enjoyable afternoon. my sister and i enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine here over the weekend accompanied by some tasty tapas. i hadnt been here before, but the music was nice and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.

amazing food! seriously the best breakfast i've had in a long time! had the guacamole dukka eggs with roasted mushrooms! so good! coffee is great too! will be going back for sure to try more of their amazing menu!!

paella night. omg the paella was sensational - still raving about it.
it was better than i remember in spain. i just wish i could recreate this at home.
the price of $25 bucks per head was ok, could have been a little more seafood, but it tasted amazing and fresh. thought the jug of sangria was very expensive at $40, so were the drinks, but overall it was a nice experience, however it is tiny in there, a little cramped, but the view of the bay is beautiful.
