most interesting, cultured and tasty food i've had in a long time!. what an atmosphere! a cultured haven offering delicious tapas-style meals infused with moroccan flavours, giving mrcurtisa unique and interesting flair. plus, the flourless chocolate cake was amazing and a fantastic serving size, even enough to be shared by two (if you can bare!). will recommend.

just a coffee stop today but a lovely one nonetheless. mrcurtisis upstairs off the street and has lovely views of the bar. there are a couple of prized balcony tables that are wonderful on the right day. the cafe is pleasantly set out and functions very nicely. the service here was friendly and efficient. the coffee brew was faultless, a superb long macchiato. the menu looked interesting so we’ll be back for sure for lunch or dinner.

beware! staff help themselves to lost property 
mum comes to visit us in mt martha from sydney. i take her to mrcurtisfor a few beers and guacamole but she leaves her sunglasses behind. honest waitress puts them behind bar for safekeeping. we retrace our steps the next morning and go back to mr curtis. waitress who served us confirms she picked them up but when she checks where she put them, discovers they are missing.

we leave our number for them to call. by the end of the day - no call, so we go back and get same story - no sunglasses. just a little frustrated and bewildered by now. we give it another day and go back again; same story and still no sunglasses. meet the owner this time but made to feel like we’ve wronged them. they close ranks around a thief in their midst. classy. 
maybe just lie outright next time someone asks if you have their lost property. don’t pretend to have integrity when you defend the indefensible.

coffee was ok. the food was also quite nice. the service however, on this particular morning was poor. we waited for over an hour for two dishes, it did appear that they were under staffed or something had gone wrong somewhere. when we left there was no apology or anything. what a shame....
not sure i'd return, but based on other reviews i'm sure this was just a once off

mrcurtisis a quirky little place on the second floor of a shop building accessible by a "blink and you'd miss it" side door with a crotchet bike out the front. gorgeous set up with lots of character and charm and lovely bay views. we came for tapas style dinner which was nice but not overwhelming. the place was very quiet and closed before 9pm which was surprising given it was the first week of january (although a weeknight). definitely a great place to try but i wouldn't rush to go back.

we loved mr curtis! the bicycle and picture frames at the entrance of mr curtis, had caught our eyes on the way down to the beach. on the return journey, we settled in for a couple of drinks and a bite to eat with the family on this new public holiday. thank goodness, this little restaurant had what we needed after a fun day in the sun! we were greeted by friendly staff who set us down at a lovely table with a view to the beach. service was great as the ladies brought out drinks and food promptly, even though the restaurant was already filling with people. the food, esp. the beef short ribs, was exceptional tonight. i would definitely be coming back to mrcurtison the next trip to mount martha!

mmmmm no not at mr curtis. to the previous reviewer not sure you were at mr c our sav blanc is 40 per bottle and has been for almost three years, we are guilty of purchasing quality, interesting wines though hope this helps you !

the worlds smallest kitchen. mrcurtishas a kitchen the size of most fridges, and very little storage space, this can be a little challenging at peak times as it is for every eatery however we are all working very hard to increase our customers enjoyment and get the food out to you quicker, we are extremely busy which we are ecstatic about and we love how you love us ! (well mostly !) so as we are all currently cooks in our micro kitchen we have decided to employ our first "chef" he comes from my most loved and the most highly decorated peninsula kitchen and we are all very excited to see the wonderful changes and dishes he creates !!!!!! watch this space lovers ofcurtisxxxxx

bad bad bad. been here a couple of times, normally ok, however waiting over 50 mins fora mid week lunch is not acceptable, when asked when our food is coming, the lady who cooks the food was rude and belligerent when i told her we did not have 50 mins to sit around and wait for lunch, she then went on to to make excuses that the "large table" had just ordered before us - that being a table of 6.................won't be back there again if they cannot even apologise and the lady who cooks the food obviously has never heard of the saying "the customer is always right"sorry mrcurtisbut you just lost two regular locals!

like the setting, not sure about the food. went to mrcurtisfor sunday breakfast for the first time, coffee was good but the open toastie was ordinary at best. the mt martha cured ham tasted and looked like ordinary sliced ham from a supermarket, not off the bone ham that i was expecting. the bread wasn't toasted which meant the tomato and ham were both cold and the bread soggy. i only ate about half of mine as it was so unappetizing. my partner who is a eggs benedict kind of guy struggled to find anything inspiring on the menu and he too ordered the toastie but was also unimpressed. this is a great setting, comfortable with lovely views but the food was just not good enough.

friendly, intimate, and all-round phenomenal - that's mrcurtisall summed up.  hidden in a two-storey shophouse with no visible signs, save for a crochet-covered bike parked outside, this is the lesser known gem of mount martha that you need to try, stat. in the daytime, it functions as a beautifully lit café overlooking the coastline, with french doors leading out to a verandah.  but, come nightfall, mrcurtistransforms into an exotic tapas restaurant / winebar. get comfortable on one of its cushion-dotted benches, and unbutton your jeans, because a feast awaits.    with chicken ribs so delicious they make my heart palpitate, this funky little eatery has certainly earned its spot on my list of top   restaurants to visit  in melbourne .  who could possibly say 'no' to some good old guacamole (aud$13.50)? let's face it - not me.  fresh, zesty and a little too damn addictive, i found myself shovelling heaps of this stuff on my corn chip. yum.  the fragrant lamb mince  (aud$12.50) came

21st birthday bash. i recently had my 21st birthday at mrcurtisand absolutely loved it!
the staff are fantastic, the food is delicious and everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on how they would come back again!
perfect place for a crowd of around 50 :)
