i went to muse restaurant with my husband during a recent stay at the eco lodge at wakefield. if you can, try to get a table in the glassed-in solarium which overlooks maclaren falls. the view, along with the mill’s beautiful stonewalls and fireplace, creates an ambiance that is hard to top.
the staff are attentive, friendly and quick to make recommendations. we both opted for the tabled'hotemenu. for an appetizer, i started with the black cod and for the main, i went for the risotto with tempura tofu. i finished off the meal with the mousse which came with a unique (but delicious) carrot sorbet.
