we went to muse on a saturday for a special occasion and loved our experience. we had reservations and our table, by the window overlooking the falls, was ready right away. service was exceptional throughout the night. we never had to ask for water and loved the wine suggestion. we had the table dhote and enjoyed discovering new flavors. each plate was tasty and well presented. 4.5 simply because some of the plates were really small (2 small scallops is not in any way a first course).
we would recommend for a very special night out or celebration.

i highly recommend going for dinner and enjoying the table d'hote which is $60 for a 3 course meal. the food was outstanding, and i loved dining with a window view overlooking the waterfall. this would make the perfect for a date night.

i went to muse restaurant with my husband during a recent stay at the eco lodge at wakefield. if you can, try to get a table in the glassed-in solarium which overlooks maclaren falls. the view, along with the mill’s beautiful stonewalls and fireplace, creates an ambiance that is hard to top. 

the staff are attentive, friendly and quick to make recommendations. we both opted for the table d'hote menu. for an appetizer, i started with the black cod and for the main, i went for the risotto with tempura tofu. i finished off the meal with the mousse which came with a unique (but delicious) carrot sorbet.

first of all after standing for 10 mins waiting to be seated we were told that we were to be eating upstairs at the heron room because a lack of reservations. we had the 7 course discovery plates for $75 each. about 3 of the 7 were passable with a goose plate being fairly good as an entrée. the other 4 plates were terrible. one clearly having canned tiny shrimp, another with a single piece of cheese with vodka jelly that tasted like saliva and worst of all was the desert. a deconstructed carrot cake that i can describe as carrot baby food with stale cubes of yellow cake that had the consistence of croutons. on top of all this it took 3 hours and the staff seemed to know nothing about the food and often omitted any sort of description. considering it was discovery and we didn't order the plates this made it all that much more confusing when we received such odd tasting and looking food.
