mother bear's pizza

this will be the thing i miss when i leave bloomington. i order carry out all of the time and they're open so late which is fantastic. the pizza is great! i have not really had any items other than pizza, breadsticks, and brownies but friends have sung the praises of the other menu items.serviceis usually pretty good too when dining in.

enjoyed a good sunday lunch here with a diy pizza for three toppings and a creamy base. we also had some breadsticks on the side with cheese sauce and some drinks. goodserviceand great food!

there is a very good reason why this place has such a high rating. greatservicemaking you feel so welcome, to die for pizza and cheesy garlic breads. definitely worth the 35mile (scenic) drive to bloomington. good job guys!!

this is definitely the best place to get pizzas from in bloomington and the ambience of the place is also amazing. the serving size at this place is pretty good and i think it's worth the money. talking about money it isn't outlandish. the food here is pretty affordable. also theserviceis amazing and very fast. so no complaints.

great pizza. would be even better if they took our order quicker. we had to hunt down a server after sitting for 10 mins but after thatserviceand food was fine.

oh no!! they quit offering the polpette meatball appetizer. going to miss that favorite. divine swine pizza still awesome as usual! 20160326

wish we had this place in indianapolis!. wife & i stopped by here again while in town! the pizza was just as great as last time we had it. looks like they expanded since our last visit, not sure. we'll be back, love this joint!

best pizza outside indianapolis!. had this on my wishlist to try next time wife and i passed through here on our way back to indianapolis on a trip and made sure we tried this place. thought we got here early enough around 4:00pm. not sure if iu game was in town but the wait was around 25 min. once we finally got seated (25 min to the second), theservicewas great and fast. kudos to the wait staff! absolutely everything was great! we love a locally owned establishment that continues tradition with great food and service! this place has a history and great character! exceeded all our expectations! pics included with review!

meatballs were exceptional! be forewarned of the "rafano sauce". basically it is their pizza sauce with a heavy dose of horseradish! this concoction, even in moderate doses, will remove the knee caps off of most veteran hot sauce connoisseurs leaving them in writhing pain but surprisingly unobstructed breathing!!

pizza (the divine swine) was excellent! can't say enough! very good pizza pie!

we'll be back!

very awesome pizza and cheese bread! amazing house made ranch. the deep dish pizza had melted crusty cheese on the the edges.
theservicewas great. chris was helpful getting us started since we had never been before. a definite must hit up if you're in town!!

no matter how many times i go, the pizza is always awesome. the chicken wings are great as well.servicehas been mostly good.

pizza is good, customerserviceis horrible. they really don't care whether your happy or not, and they don't care to tell you so. go with the expectations of bad service, but good pizza, and you'll be fine.

if you love it so much why don't you marry it?. my wife and i are seasoned vets of iu and of mother bear's pizza. so, it was easy for us to decide where to have our wedding rehearsal dinner. although we couldn't call in a reservation we were able to get seating for around 20 people. the food was excellent and theservicewas great.

maybe you should consider getting married so that you can have your rehearsal dinner at mo bear's pizza!

a required stop for your visit. if you are visiting bloomington you have to stop by mother bear's before you leave. it's the best pizza (and wing) joint for the best college town in the country. pretty much every pizza is a safe choice, some of my favorites are divine swine, dante's inferno, and the dixie two step. if you are a student they also accept campus access (no cash needed!).
