the meatballs were flavorless, and the marinara sauce was not much better. the garlic bread appeared to be toasted and then steeped in butter until soft. i actually enjoyed the meat and cheese appetizer much more than my cannelloni. too many italian restaurants nearby to visit this one again. the rest of my dining party thought that theirfoodwas just okay to mediocre.

awesome!!!!!. my son and i were there a few months ago, and we had the most amazing dinner there!!!!!! before we even entered the building, i turned to my son and said, "this is going to be great!!!!" i could tell just from the smell of thefoodthat it was going to be good!!!! i had the raviolis and my son had chicken alfredo, and both of us loved our dinner!!!!! ive actually been trying to make red sauce like theirs and im so disappointed because i cant even get close to theirs..... i would absolutely recommend mona lisa's to anyone who likes italian food!!!! in fact, if im ever in san diego again, i will go again!!!!!!

amazingfoodand huge portions. seriously delicious. try the chicken marsala. the spumoni ice cream is delicious as well.

went to mona lisa while visiting san diego. best italianfoodi have ever had! i'm not a big pasta lover, but my wife is, and our family loved it. excellent service more than reasonably priced. and you absolutely must visit the deli afterwards. we bought fixings for sandwiches while touring sd. excellente!

i will be back if i'm ever in sd again! greatfoodgreat service. very family friendly and many locals filled the seats. huge portions at great prices. i highly recommend mona lisa!

restaurant was no good.. i'll preface this by saying i didn't get anything from the deli, which seems to have good reviews. we chose to have a sit-down dinner at the restaurant because the reviews on here were so good.

honestly, i have no idea why it's rated so highly. thefoodwas not good. my salad was made up of tasteless lettuce and half an anemic-looking tomato, and was so drenched in dressing i could barely eat it. the chicken dish was lackluster and was overpriced for what i got. the whole thing looked and tasted like a microwave dinner.

that said, the servers were friendly, prompt and helpful. the atmosphere was nothing special but nice and homey.

the deli is very nice. the restaurant is just a cafeteria line where you pick your meal from a steam table & some salads. thefoodis good, the servers are friendly and helpful. the dining room is some booths and tables with plastic tablecloths. not much atmosphere but thefoodis good.
