moe & johnny's

ate here for lunch today. it was our first visit. the hubs had mean mac & cheese. it was spicy and flavorful, but a little dry; not creamy enough.
i had the house salad and a bowl of lemon chicken artichoke soup. the homemade ranch dressing wasgreatand it came with a delicious hunk of homemade bread. a good portion of the lettuce was rusty and the huge cucumber slice had obviously ben sitt no out for a good while. the soup had good flavor but the "chicken" that was in it was deplorable. it was really more like shreds of chicken jerky. i guess it was a good thing there wasn't much chicken in it. my friend had a bowl and thought the same thing. he also had the chicken tenders and fries. the fries were okay but the chicken was very over cooked, even burnt in some places.
his spouse had the sweet and sour chicken (name of that ???) and her chicken was also over done. she took most of hers home.
to top of bad to mediocre food, the service was terrible! they were not overly busy, either. a group of 9 came in after us, was seated and served and getting up to leave about the same moment that was got our check. (after having our table cleared, we waited about 20 minutes before finally asking for the check.)
we won't go back. too many other options without the problems.

another broadripple staple! this place isgreatfor food, drinks, sports and fun. never had a bad meal or service there. patio is covered and dog friendly!! chicken tenders and fries entrée was enough for three people in my opinion. we liked everything on the app sampler and excited to try their house smoked wings on the next visit. plenty of tvs for sports, pool tables and two video games.

i have eaten here many times, and can't remember ever having a bad meal, even on their all-you-can eat buffet lines. it is actually 3 different places all connected. the sports bar with mega tv's, video games, etc; the quieter restaurant; and cornerstone coffee house, which will serve you anything on the menu. "just agreatplace", is what all the newbies i take there say.

i went on a sunday right after church...was in need of some food big time.

servers were very friendly and the service was fast.

i had the fish and chips and my date had the tomato, basil, and mozzarella cheese pizza. good stuff... she tried mine and i tried hers..we both concurred ongreatchoices.

all was very good.

the have a few other nice things on the menu that looked good. i will try them next time...

what is awesome at moe and johnny's. the first thing you will notice when you walk into this fine establishment is the awesome decor, and atmosphere. a quick conversation with the friendly staff will also explain how the place formed out of several little stores on that same corner! the inside has agreatbrick oven, that is used (not just decor) and the inside walls are painted to look like a corner strip from the day's gone by. very very cool. my first impression of the food was a little ho-hum, but it has a good buzz about it, and the atmosphere was so good i had to give it another shot. im very glad i did!! the philly cheese steak is what i always eat now, and if you want a very hearty and awesome meal this is what i recommend. other things i have had are good, but that philly is magical. please give this local place your money.. you will not be disappointed.

great neighborhood spot. great: location, food, atmosphere, service, drink specials, out door seating, brick / wood burining oven, do i need to say more?! pizza, peanuts, blah...greatspot, any day or time...greatplace for butler games too, go iu,, haha

love it!. moe & johnny's is a great, inexpensive neighborhood restaurant. we always seat ourselves in the coffee shop area which as agreatambiance. everything i've had there has been great, but i usually find myself ordering the pulled-pork bbq sandwich. not sure where urbanspoon is getting their pricing info, because that particular meal with a side is only about $6.00.
