lovely breakfast. great little place and refreshingly authentic japanese food for a change. one issue tho - the okonomiyaki was not what i remember it to be - 2 tiny little potato cakes - disappointing as this was my favourite thing to eat in japan so was hanging for it. anyhoo, service was excellent and food did taste yummy!

authentic japanese cuisine. they have really great fresh specials. try the beef tataki

i really don’t know where to begin with this extraordinary restaurant except delightful. truly exquisite sushi awaits you here. now, i and my dining partners have only ordered sushi rolls and sushi for the most part though my little ones shared a plate of chicken hibachi and it was delicious. and my friend, heather, said it was the best ginger dressing she had ever eaten. but, foodies, i’m telling you the sushi at mizu is nothing short of genius. it is everything it should be: fresh, beautiful, inventive, fresh, creative, outstanding. did i mention fresh? and it’s so beautifully plated you almost hate to eat it. i really could go on and on. it is the kind of place you could easily pass by. it doesn’t have a traditional exterior because it’s in a strip mall on robinhood road, albeit it is in good company with burke street pizza and river birch lodge and is across the street from the fresh market. blink and you miss it. but boy will you miss it if you do. some of the more notable rolls a

boom great food. sushimi is to die for the tuna is outstanding. tempura is another standout.

mizu has the most creative rolls, excellent presentation and they seem very high quality...

amazing food. my fiance and i found this hidden little gem the other night when we were craving japanese. we are so happy that we went to mizu - instead of ordering main meals we chose a selection of entrees and we were not let down. the prawn balls on skewers served with wasabi mayonnaise were leaving me wanting more. the sushi was fresh and delicious, but the star of the night was the pork belly. we will definately be coming back to this one.

pleasant surprise. i'm not an expert in japanese food, but there was nothing we had here that disappointed - each of the 4 starters we had set the mouth watering - good stuff

you might think i’m crazy when i say that rice does make a huge difference to how the rest of your dishes taste like but believe it, it makes a lot of difference!

over priced... been here twice now, and whilst we vowed not to go back after our first visit due to any real value, this was reconfirmed again tonight. portion sizes small, and very expensive, and just no value for money.

the food was not great, the wagyu steak was fatty, and tempura just sickly.

definately won't be going back for a 3rd time, and can't work out why this place seems busy most nights?? move on, there are better japanese places to go close by.

good food, would suggest sharing a few starters.. the food here was very high quality and authentic. if you are concerned about price, i would recommend sharing a few starters, rather than ordering a main.

quality, every time.. yes mizu is a little bit more expensive than your average japanese diner but the quality and authenticity cannot be beaten. better than anywhere in brisbane, mizu captures "the vibe" of japanese cooking and its key flavours - the dashi, soy, mirin combinations, the instantly recognisable "japanese" tastes.

the restaurant is also more laid back and lacking the pretentiousness (and genericness?) of other japanese restaurants in the same price range (for example sono or sake.)

if you get a bento box at any time of the day i guarantee you will leave satiated and satisfied.

three times and still the charm. we have visited mizu three times and love it more and more.
the food is amazing and simple. always fresh and flavorsome. you can see the great care taken by the chef in the detailed presentation of the food as well as taste in every bite.

the service is genuine and friendly. it is definitely worth a try.

next time i'm in brisbane, i'll try my darnedest to get back here. the food was lovely (and that was just breakfast!) and the atmosphere was great too. if you're in the area, do make an effort to pop over and try it, i'm sure you'll agree with me - this is one hot fling!
