good eats. first visit, took my wife and son, before dinner was done, they had already picked out what they were getting on next visit. very good jambalya, right amount of spice following the great sweet potaotoes fries (not deep fat fried). wife had the fried chicken n waffles, loved the pecans in the butter, son had a burger that he says was 1 of the best he ever had. the fried apple-ginger pie, was winderful, nice flavor combination. definitely going to be a regular at this place.

yummy. i love this place i went with a friend and had wonderful food and the people there are very welcoming too!!

i love love love southern food. pulled pork, fried chicken, collard greens, corn bread, gumbo, pecan pie, what's not to love?!

yum! going back soon.. yes, the silverware is flimsy. but the food is fantastic. pork ribs melt in your mouth. mashed potatoes to die for. mac & cheese is heavenly. the ginger cocktail is wonderful. don't go if you're in a hurry. a great place to relax and enjoy wonderful comfort food.

it's ok.. i really wanted miss delta to be just like the delta cafe over on woodstock. it's not. it's just missing something.
it's great that miss delta is closer to my place, but i'd go the distance to eat at the original delta cafe next time i've got a craving for it.

if you are looking for a substantial amount of food at a very low price, miss delta is the place. most happy hour places around portland offer smaller versions of their house plates during those blessed afternoon hours we all love so much. at miss delta t

a little closer..... miss delta gets a little closer to a "meat'n'three" place like we'd have in the south. they don't try too hard to fuse or overdress the sides, which is a good thing. i had the chicken fried steak, which i found to be good, but the gravy needed a bit of spicing up with pepper. the collard greens were perfectly spiced; however, i'm not much of a stem-eater and stems were included. the macaroni and cheese tasted wonderful, but lacked body. the best things were the black eyed pea fritters.

the service on this particular night was good -- once we *finally* got seated. there were only two people serving and tending the bar in the whole place, the second night after a groupon was issued. this should have been anticipated.

it's no whistlestop (irondale) cafe, but i enjoyed it overall.

i loved this place. the portions are huge and the taste is yummy. the atmosphere was a perfect match. prices are high and the waitress seemed like she would rather be elsewhere but all in all great time.

outstanding!. amazing cheese grits. catfish was perfect and the jambalaya was good. loved all the spices at the table. great service and nice atmosphere.
wish they were open for lunch!

i do like miss delta and found the food to be very good. ordered up some black-eyed fritters and sweet potato fries for starters. dinner consisted of an order of bbq ribs with a side of mac & cheese and rice & beans. the ribs were okay - a little too much fat - and the two sides were better. all in all, a good dinner and i would come back. to be honest, however, even though i liked it there is not that urge to come right back for more rieal soon.

you need to eat here. great atmosphere and service plus 40's of pbr on ice are a very nice touch but their food is what really sells this place! you can't go wrong with the fried chicken or the cat fish. their meat loaf looks awesome and it seems to be quite popular. i will surely be enjoying it next time i go. get some hush puppies too! they kick ass!
