everything was great, except.... tried meritage on a whim as we were in the area on a saturday night. what a nice surprise! thefoodand ambiance were very good, and our server was very nice, fun, and attentive. i also liked that they have some quiet entertainment in the bar area. i will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good, reasonably priced meal.

my only complaint was the bartender. i asked for a sidecar, but our server came back and said the bartender had never heard of it! seriously??? so i order an old fashioned. what i got was not what i expected, but was pretty good. when i got the bill, my drink was listed as a "manhattan on the rocks." sounds like meritage needs a new bartender.

great meal with entertainment. we ate at the bar. great atmosphere and service from gordon the bartender. we talked to the general manager matt who was very friendly and accommodating. i had the pork chop dinner and my wife had the fish special. thefoodwas excellent and prepared just as we ordered. we finished up with drinks and peanut butter pie as we listened to dave the entertainment on the acoustic guitar play great music.

my wife and i came in with another couple for dinner monday night. this was our second visit and it was perfect just like the first. the half price wine on mondays is a great deal. thefoodwas excellent and our server, matt, was nothing short of perfect. we will be back for thefoodand his service again.

my husband and i went there last thursday and this is the best resturant ever . thefoodand the service was top notch all the way . i felt so at home there and thefoodfor the price was great !!!! we will be going back very very soon.... keep up the great work !

poor service. we went tonight to meritage. initially the service was good but after ordering steaks and baked potatoes we were disappointed when the potato was not ready with the steaks. we were initially told that it would just be a few minutes. 15 minutes later the potato was not there and the server said it would not be ready. i understand that at times things happen however at a restaurant that promotes being a high quality restaurant i as the customer should not have to ask for them to compensate us. the server said he took off some for the inconvenience...$4 was removed. this was more of an insult than if nothing was done...a salad is $10. thefoodwas okay not great and the service was terrible. the cost for two people was $80 with no alcohol...save your money and go somewhere else.

i would say fit for foodies with one caveat. the flavors are subtle bordering on bland. however the fresh ingredients,foodpresentation and ambiance are great. service was top notch too. the mussles (appetizer) was the highlight of the meal. my pork chop entree was dry (2" thick) but otherwise ok. my wife had the fish of the day which was fresh but again somewhat bland. we'll give it another try. maybe it was just the dishes we chose. clearly the chef cares about food. i wouldn't hold the subtle flavorings against them.

amazing. this place was incredible. from the set up to the service (thanks josh!) to the deliciousfoodi was continuously impressed. thefoodwas simple yet the combination of tastes in each dish was an unexpected surprise. the drinks are amazing and i was impressed with the mini shaker that they brought to the table to pour the drink in front of us. we ordered the pumkin spice cheesecake which they actually hadn't fully thawed yet so they gave us a piece of the carrot cake and a piece of pumpkin cheesecake togo and both were to die for. i have nothing bad to say about meritage and i will be back.

great!. the drinks are original and fantastic, thefoodwas classic and delicious. try the wedge salad, literally the best one i have ever had. keep an open mind with the drinks, they sound a little odd, but they are absolutely delicious. the martini's are served table side with a mini martini shaker. an added bonus for afoodsnob like myself.

needs work! was optimistic with the positive reviews i'd seen but was disappointed. service was so so,foodwas poor. pork chop ordered medium was way over cooked, soup was so bad it wasn't eaten. french fries which another reviewer raved about were normal, thin, mcdonalds style frozen fries. and it's expensive, even relative to similar style of restaurants. won't be back

great new place. i had read an article about someone remodeling this location and opening a new restaurant here. it turned out to be a success when it finally arrived and luckily for me it is close enough to go to on my lunch break.

the inside has been remodeled nicely. i sat in the bar area and watched tv while i ate since i was by myself. there was a sign outside advertising lunch specials, which ended up being the selection of meat they have available for items already on the menu (or the type of soup, etc). i was told by the waitress that there were lunch portions of several items on the menu, but she wasn't sure what the price difference was.

with that in mind, i went for the dinner portion of the thai glazed salmon. it was a bit pricey for lunch at $22, but it was a large portion and tasted great. it was a good cut of salmon, perfectly cooked, no pin bones. the rice was good as well. the asparagus was a little awkward to eat as they were very long, thin stalks, but still very good. the sauce was similar to a teriyaki, but not quite the same thing - i thought it complimented the fish very well. the entire dish was seasoned just right and worked for me. thefoodalso came out in a reasonable time frame (~15 minutes), which is always important for lunchgoers.

i'd like to see what the prices are for the lunch portions and if they are under $15 or so, i'm sure i'll be back regularly. it seems like their website has some occasional technical issues which they might want to get worked out as well. overall, a great meal and i'd recommend.

the atmosphere at meritage is great. you can sit in the gorgeous bar area for a drink and an appetizers, or sit down and have an amazing meal and a glass of wine. thefoodwas great, and i can't wait to go back soon!

i absolutely loved thefoodat meritage! the bass and steak were delicious. great atmosphere too! i can't wait to go back and enjoy the live music and bar.
