every time i come to town for business i eat here! always a success! great atmosphere and even better food! the chef is fabulous as well as personable!

this year for my birthday dinner i wanted to go to someplace new and a little nicer. so i grabbed. the husband and some good friends of ours and headed out to. meritage restaurant in glendale is an upscale restaurant - there's a nice bar area in the front with high-top tables and then a separate area with tables. i've driven by a million times but hadn't ever been. it's very close to my friend's house and she was teaching a salsa class - so it was convenient location-wise.

love this place. consistently great food and service. i can't say enough great things about this place. the dining room is awesome for a more private dining experience and the bar offers a great vibe with live music!

totally inconsistent and incredibly pricey. don't waste your fine dining dollars on this place.

this restaurant is great for open-minded people who want to try thai fish, and closed-minded losers who just want to have something normal. i would suggest it to you and i rate it 18 fishes out of 22.

horrible experiece,. actually went there twice (i'm a sucker for 2nd chances). both were wine tastings- $50 for my date & i. for that we got a total of 4 small pours of mediocre wine & bland, uninspired apps. when we finally caught the attention of a surly barmaid (we had paid for 8 tastes total) we were told that the tasting was over, and we had to pay for more wine. i actually did (what a pigeon). after posting the experience on wine meetup; the manager, alice murphy, told me that she would comp my next visit, even though i couldn't find her with a geiger counter on my first visit. actually, she was there all night sitting at a table & drinking. long story short- the second visit was even worse- no talk of us being comped, and same poor service- the crowd was about half what it was on the first visit , so i guess others had the same experience. some folks were actually going to the bar & pouring their own (illegal). this place is known as the place where the bartenders have their backs to the customers 90% of the time. myself and my friends will never darken their doorway again.

everything was great, except.... tried meritage on a whim as we were in the area on a saturday night. what a nice surprise! the food and ambiance were very good, and our server was very nice, fun, and attentive. i also liked that they have some quiet entertainment in the bar area. i will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good, reasonably priced meal.

my only complaint was the bartender. i asked for a sidecar, but our server came back and said the bartender had never heard of it! seriously??? so i order an old fashioned. what i got was not what i expected, but was pretty good. when i got the bill, my drink was listed as a "manhattan on the rocks." sounds like meritage needs a new bartender.

great for a special occasion. we had our fifteenth wedding anniversary dinner at meritage last evening.

granted, it's pricey but this was a special occasion. they've done a great job with the old building; it's contemporary and comfortable. i had the linguini with shrimp, fresh garlic and pesto. it was quite excellent. joyce had the petit filet and twice baked potato...the filet was larger than "petit" and was perfect! the server was extremely attentive, professional and friendly. our only negative comments; the water tasted like tap water and the wine, while excellent, was expensive...$9.00 for a glass of house wine? otherwise, it was an excellent experience. oh...we had the creme brulet for dessert and loved it. deano

great meal with entertainment. we ate at the bar. great atmosphere and service from gordon the bartender. we talked to the general manager matt who was very friendly and accommodating. i had the pork chop dinner and my wife had the fish special. the food was excellent and prepared just as we ordered. we finished up with drinks and peanut butter pie as we listened to dave the entertainment on the acoustic guitar play great music.

disappointing. the wait staff was mediocre. ordered mussels as an appetizer-please debeard them before serving them to customers-they were lackluster, at best. bruschetta-was just ok. asparagus soup-is not vegetarian. is it so much to ask for a vegetable based soup to be vegetarian? apparently so. not impressed, and will not be returning.

meritage is such a great place! great for a business lunch or lunch with a friend and perfect for dinner too. love the grilled brie sandwich for lunch. steak and lobster tail for dinner. yum!

best ribs ever.. the ribs are the only in town that i've gone back for again and again.

excellent. you just can't miss with meritage. everything is delicious, everyone is super nice. we enjoy the bar ambiance. ask for cara, best ever server and bartendress who graces this sweet place on monday, tuesday, thursday and friday nights. plus, a shout out to lanessa (server) and ric, purveyor of fine tunes fridays starting at 7 in the bar. bon appetit!

menu is limited but offers variety. mussels were a nice selection for appetizer (good for sharing). the cajun goat cheese filet mignon and surf and turf was really good. my friend ordered the meritage salad (refreshing!) and prime rib and was more than pleased. save some space for the creme bruleè!
