medium rare is a steakfritesrestaurant from the same people who brought you bgr. the inside draws from an upscale brasserie theme: exposed brick, low ceilings, wooden floors, with granite-topped metal tables filling the sizable space. the lighting shifts with the time; during the daytime, light streams in the large windows, but at night it gets real dim. it's clean and simple, with a little elegant flair in between.

i absolutely love this place! the salad is the perfect size and the homemade dressing is exquisite with a tangy dijon mustard flavor! the fresh bread is crispy on the outside but the inside is warm and melts in your mouth! the two servings of perfectly cooked steak are set over the top with the savory secret sauce that makes your mouth water for more! the sauce is so delicious that it is also perfect also for dunking the hand cutfritesin! i also recommend ordering the carrot cake it moist and the cream cheese frosting is life changing! medium rare is a+ and a must try!

and finally – the steak, slices of dry-aged cap sirloin, andfritesmay be served on a surprisingly small plate, but not to worry, there is much more to come. although both helpings were delicious, my second helping of steakfriteswas actually better than my first – the steak juicier, the fries crunchier.

authenic steak andfritesin cleveland park. great food and atmoshpere in cleveland park. the bread, salad, steak andfriteswere all excellent. it reminded me of a place in geneva, switz. that served the same menu- just steak and frites. service was great and i loved the small touches - bazooka bubble gum with your check and they were playing a lesson tape of french pick up lines in the restroom!

fantastic!!. i was so excited to hear about this restaurant opening up because my favorite restaurant in the world is in paris and its called l'entrecote and medium rare is the same exact concept, which is streakfritesonly and all you need to know is how you want your steak cooked. not only is it a great concept but the food exceeded my expectations, in other words, the food was amazing! the steak was cooked to perfection, exactly how i wanted it....rare and my gf got hers medium rare which was cooked perfectly as well and the cut was perfect and the meat was delicious. the sauce was mmm mmm good and thefrites(fries) were fantastic as well as the salad that comes with the meal. not only was the food amazing so was the price, its $20 per meal not including drinks of course and the service was great, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. all in all, i had a great experience and i will definitely be going there all the time. i highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food because thats what you will get.
