unimpressed. been here a few times, but not planning on going back anytime soon. poorservicecompounded on the fact that the bar staff is incredibly rude. the food is decent, although overpriced. the beer is so marked up it's not worth buying. i'd much rather go up western or downtown instead of going back to this place.

the best beer selection i've seen in a long time and the bartenders are truly top notch. mcnellie's is what i consider a "safe bet" meaning i find it impossible to have a bad experience here. i highly recommend it if you're from out of town and traveling through as this is the kind of bar where the food atmosphere andservicewill leave you feeling like you got to see the best side of okc

the potato leek soup is great, and the turkey bacon wrap was fantastic. greatserviceat the bar too.

sad trip for lunch. tried to eat there with my office. ordered a medium burger. came out charred. sent back and the burger was overcooked again.

gave up. i guess cooking is not important, must only be a drinking place. i can't drink at lunch. feel validated that i won't eat there again.

and theservicewas uninspired, ran out of tea for over ten minutes. i guess she was busy burning the hamburger.

great beers and nice people!. i love mcnellies! great people and a fun building that gives mcnellies a great feel. not fancy but always fun.servicehas been great every time i have been there. i love the homemade food too. check it out!

i have now gone here twice. both times with a large group of people. i have yet to hear anyone say that the food they got was any good at all. my opinion.... the food is crap and overpriced! theservicehas been fair at best and they charge you an automatic 20% gratuity for large parties. i don't mind paying it if the food andservicewere any good at all. overall grade f.

wonderful draft selection. place has a fantastic beer selection. food is as decent as you'd expect from bar.servicecan seem a little chaotic at times.

went out with friends for a birthday celebration, had the birthday boy (turning 30) carded and allowed in at the door only to be refused drinks at the table bc license was 2 days expired then had the waitress try to force us to pay for a drink we didn't order. worse customerserviceexperience ever. i don't believe anyone in our party of 8 or so would ever go back. no respect at all.

bad service. almost always slowserviceand sometimes actually rude servers. this wouldn't be so bad except that it happens even when they aren't busy. i think it must be their corporate culture. really sad for such an otherwise good place..

great beer selection. of course, this place has an amazing beer selection. i'm sure you've heard it before, and all the hype is right. however, theserviceusually leaves much to be desired. i know they are busy, especially at happy hour, but it would be nice to see the servers and bartenders put a smile on their face once in a while. if that's not possible, hire them some more help so they're not in the weeds so much!!

sitting here at 9:30pm on a sunday hardly anyone here sitting at the bar, worstserviceeverrrrrr. been here for over an hour bartender has managed to give us each one drink and one refill of water.... asked her for a beer she said ok went over took some guys order after ours. forgot our beer so we asked for our tab.. also there were a total of 6 ppl on the third floor. too expensive and awful awful service, waste of time... need new staff who can multi task, this coming from a bartender/server.

love it!. this pub haunts my dreams.... i went there with some friends on a saturday night. the place was packed full, i think it was three dollar burger night. we decided to wait. i was worried we would be over looked from it being so busy but that wasnt the case at all. theservicewas great and fast. even with it being so busy the server had time to explain different drinks to me patiently.
the burgers were cheap and delicious with a awesome side of sweet potato fries. cant wait to go back!!

this place is like finding a pretty girl with a bad attitude and bad hygiene. theservicesucks, the smoking ventilation doesn't suck..in a bad way. whoever manages it must not spend much time thinking about it from the customer's experience. i'm betting they spend more time in tulsa. if they dont want to dedicate staff to the bar/smokers section then just shut it down and focus on making the food better. the seating, service, prices and beer choices are better at many other places. i typically spend a lot of money on my companies card when i go someplace that deserves it but we left with less than a 10 dollar tab. i'd rather go somewhere that i get airline miles anyway. hello tapwerks!

i had to change my vote from like to dislike. we went monday night for pint night, b/c they were featuring one of my favorite brews, spaten optimator. i called in the afternoon to make sure their website was correct, and was told that, yes, they were running pint night starting at 5. i invited my dad an some friends to join us, and before we left at around 6:15, and asked again if they were running pint night, and get the same response as before. so we headed out. when we arrived, our friends were waiting in the entrance, and said that they had been waiting 10 minutes for a table. we ended up waiting another 20 minutes before we were seated, and another ten minutes before our server came to the table. when i asked for my drink, she informed me that they were out of glasses, and that they sold out before 5 because people pre order. at this point we got up and walked out. when i got downstairs, i asked to speak to the manager, who clearly didn't understand what i was upset about. she kept asking me what she could do to make the situation better. and i couldn't even answer her, because you can't seriously tell someone to go back in time, and be a more honest, competent individual. i simply told her that i would never be back, and that i would let everyone know my experience.
as i had reviewed before, it is a nice place to get a good selection of beers, but it simply isn't worth the horrible atmosphere, now that i have experienced how they treat loyal customers. i will buy my beer at byron's, and pocket the massive upcharge that you get at mcnellie's, and save myself the headache of having to go there.

why does it have to be such a meat market?. i don't understand why all of the metro's drinking establishment attract all of the single's crowds. it is by far the most frustrating thing about this place, and what can management do about that? i liked it a lot more before it got so busy, and went a lot more frequently.
the beer selection is pretty outstanding for an oklahoma joint. i'm a porter or stout drinker, and i'm not going to a pub to drink out of a bottle, so it's nice to have a wide selection of what i like on tap. which is usually either a spaten optimator, left hand milk stout, young's double chocolate stout, and occasionally a guinness. so i'm always happy that i have a few options to choose from, instead of the usual, bud, bud light, and some awful sam adams selection that a lot of places offer.
i don't always order food, but when i have, it's been good. the sammies are all very good, but i'm pretty partial to the chicken club. chips and queso always deliver, and the sweet potato fries are edible. but whatever you do, eat dessert. it's wonderful. my favorite is the sam smith oatmeal stout cheesecake, but the guinness smothered bon bons are great too.
aside from the people that frequent the place, it really is nice. and we've figured out that mid-week late afternoons can bring the bestserviceand environment.
if you want to try a wide selection of beers, and decent food, this is the place for you. if you're looking for a bud light in a frosted glass while you cruise for chicks, please go somewhere else.

this is one of a handful of places in okc where i absolutely will never go because of the unbelievably rudeservicei received when i tried it some time ago. i really wanted to like it, and i was so excited to try it out, but staff treated me so poorly that i had to leave without ordering. i cannot say enough about the rudeness of these people. apparently, they only like certain "types" of people, and i don't fit their definition of acceptable.
