it was a nice atmosphere on deck and bar but inside dinning was so cold that people were leaving. the salad i ordered was large in size but all of the lettuce was brown and wilted the avocado and eggs were also old and brownish. the dressings were very small and i was charged when i asked for a second. definitely don't get the quality that you pay for. i won't return. too expensive for old food.

never had a bad experience here. food is always well prepared, beer selection is impressive, atmosphere is comfortable, staff is friendly, and i've even gotten an immediate table as a walk in on a holiday. i would recommend this spot to anyone.

great food, day, view. life is good!. stopped by to try out the fare. moderately high end, tavern / restaurant. crab cakes, good flavor and texture. poblano mac & cheese, good cheesy comfort food. fresh veggies. pumpkin cheese cake, light, tasty. just all around good food. impressive list of east coast oysters. happy attentive staff. reasonably priced. what else could we expect. oh yea. did i mention the view from their deck.

this crab cake is out of this world! the crab is nice and sweet, and the spicing is light enough to make itself known, but still showcase that prized crab flavor. the binder has a slight bready flavor, but not so much that it just does its job and stays out of the way. the roll is very firm, so when you bite down, the cake tends to squish out from the roll. we found the tomato to have a really fresh flavor, although it was probably sliced a bit too thick for this kind of application. the cake probably could have a used a bit more spice, but with that awesome crab flavor, we're really not complaining.

poor customer service. i went there for brunch. food was good, service was mediocre. on the way out, i asked if they would be open on easter sunday for brunch, which was 3 weeks away. they said they didn't know yet if they would be open, please call back in about a week. a week later i called to make a reservation for a party of 12 and i was told she had to call the manager and ask if they would be to accomodate my party because they already had several large parties on that day at that time and she would call me back!!! (nevermind that i called back when they told me to call back.) she never called. four days later, i called back. she had not talked to the manager yet, but said she would call her and call me back. she called back about a half hour later and said they would not take my party. i have never heard of a restaurant turning down business because they would have to call in additional people to work! they lost me as a customer. i wish sanders corner had never closed...

need to go back. this place seems to draw a crowd most nights because there isn't a restaurant like it for miles. full (raw and wet) bar, plenty of seating and a sizeable menu. eventhough they seated us in the back room next to the kitchen, we'll go back to sit at the bar and try the oysters. not too pricey, and the portions are generous.

loved it. cool place.. i'm from boston and was visiting family. we had been to this place many years ago before they remodeled. what a great place. loved the atmosphere. the waitstaff was great - thanks steve (our waiter)! i had the turkey pot pie and it was spectacular. i usually wouldn't even order a pot pie, it's really not my thing, but the menu description sounded good. moist, delicious, loaded with turkey, seasoned with something i couldn't put my finger on that was great. if i could criticize at all - it could've used a little more veggies in it.
my sister had the pork shank and it was also yummy - fell off the bone. my brother had the butcher's secret steak which was chewier than he would've liked. but all in all we had a great time here. will go back again when i visit again.

went for 1st time last night. big place, was very crowded for 7 on a sat. waited at outside bar (they have heaters) for 30 min. service was decent, certainly not quick. took about 15-20 to get our apps. cheap oysters-very good. we had the largest cheese plate ever! friend had steak n mashed potatoes -said it was very good. i had powerhouse with portobello. i was 65% stuffed at that point. ate avocado, tomato, sprouts n mushroom. it didn't need to be marinated so it was had lots of vinegar taste. all in all 4 out 5, decent prices and food. would recommend!

my pork bbq sandwich tasted delicious! it was juicy, moist, and had lots of bbq sauce on it, since it came on the side and i got to put it on. it also came with homemade potato chips, which were good. they were crunchy, and had old bay on them, but weren't very salty, like i like them.
