thefishplace. mick mick, as a friend and i call it. a march friday night at 8:30pm we were there.
we start with calamari. it was very good but i remember the tomato and lemon sauce more than the calamari. i use all the bread to clean off the sauce from the cups. they were gooooooooood.
pretzel crusted whitefish for the main. when the plate arrive, i remember i said to myself the portion was pretty big. thefishwas excellent. it was fresh and has the texture of afishand it was cooked just right. soft and smooth. i usually only eat chinese style steamfishwith head and eyes. i do eat the eye balls just because they are smooth and runny. so if afishis slightly over cooked, i will complaint. this whitefish pass the test with swimming color.fishcan't fly, you know. :-)
creme burlee and an single shot espresso to wrap up the evening. it was a tiny bit too sweet but with the espresso to balance it, it was prefect.
the place was comfortable enough to enjoy a good dinner with friends. at their peak hour, it may be a bit noisy but we had no trouble talking to each other. if i come across another mick mick at other places, i will eat there again.
