mazzaro's italian market

good stuff. mazzaro's is the mecca for st. pete foodies. they havegreatcoffee and baked goods. the sandwiches are top notch and the meat counter beats any butcher shop in town. if you go, you do need to get out of there by noon. once noon arrives, hordes of unwashed yuppies and old retired yankees descend into the place.

they will push you out of their way as they try to get the last cannoli out of the counter. they act as if you are not there and the world spins around them. once again,greatfood but the customers need to be dropped into the bay with cement shoes.

awesome spot,greatvibe! this place gets packed on a weekend during lunch time so i would recommend going for breakfast. the market is filled with my favourite things to devour like cheeses, meats, breads, wines and tones more!

the coffee here is on the best i've had had a in st pete so far, full bodied with an amazing aroma! to eat i got a club sandwich and the wife got a parmesan and eggplant sandwich. the bread was fresh and soft, as expected!

the market items were a little pricey but it's understandable being a niche spot.

had agreatvisit to the market. we first sat at the coffee bar and had well crafted lattes to go along with an amazing pastry. we purchased the tiramisu to go along with other items. really impressed with the quality of their items and the vibe the place has. we were a little early for lunch, but the food smelled and lookedgreatcoming out of the sandwich shop.

hey - i have visited this place for many many years - living only blocks away from it - i decided long ago that it was waaayy over priced - over rated - over crowded ! i love their breads - and this is the best bread in town and a value at the reasonable prices  they charge - only $.50 =$1.00 more than what you would pay for a loaf at the super market that has no where near the same quality or taste or presentation.  the round 'star' loaf is beautiful and the best !now - for the rest..i have purchased various ready mades from the deli -including lasagna varieties and lots more. for the price of a square (approx. $6-7) - not worth the price - for a few more bucks you can go get nice fresh (not reheated)  hot lasagna (2 x he portion size)with bread,  salad , soups etc at olive garden at a nice sit down table withgreatwaiters - you can get more & better & fresher pasta at any number of local italian restaurants italia mia, cd romas  etc  for cheaper ! as for the bakery - well they make some yummy looking stuff for a hefty price - but buyer beware! my fiance just bought a cannoli cake from them 07/25/2015  for a party - i was amazed that the cannoli shells were filled with whip cream ! - i could not find one bit of ricotta cheese  in the cannoli shells - nothing but cheap white cake - cannoli shells , whip cream and chocolate morsels ! at $22 this cake was a complete rip off!!! nuff said ?

this is an outstanding italian market. a must see when you are in the area. go for lunch, the authentic italian sandwiches are amazing and agreatvalue.

if you are from the northeast as i am(new york), you probably miss thegreatitalian bakeries that you had on almost every block in the urban area. good luck finding one down here as prior to discovering this gem, publix was the closest i've found. this place is the real deal. excellent cannoli's, cheeses, etc. just be prepared to wait in line!

mazzaro’s deli and prepared foods are agreatvalue. their hot and cold italian sub sandwiches are $5-$6 and can easily feed two people—topped with a delicious italian coleslaw that balances the salty meats and gives the sandwich a little crunch.

best sandwiches. this italian deli/market/bakery etc... has everything you could possibly want. the owner and all the employees are always friendly and very helpful. you can tel it's a good place when the employees are that happy. on to the good stuff: i've had italian subs at probably a thousand different places and this one is the best! i've seen my friends eat many othergreatlooking sandwiches from there but i can't pass up that sub. you can get anything from chocolatef covered bacon, freshly made ravioli, meats, etc.. all in one spot. definitely worth a visit.

yay for this place!. i love this place! it's so fun to wander through and i love discovering new italian/european foods. i love the mini foccacias from the bakery, they are perfectly seasoned. i also got some tiramisu and they do agreatjob with this simple dessert. my absolute favorite thing to buy here is the fresh pasta purses stuffed with pear and italian brie, holy cow they are sooooooo grand! i like their espresso as it is a high quality brew. i bought some of their homemade mozzarella and loved it. i don't go here often because if i did i would be very fat. i do plan on eating at the cafe they have there.

simply the best. mazzaros has quite possibly the largest selection of fine foods and wines for anyone's dinner table. top that off with home-made cheese, pasta, and agreatdeli, and you have one of the best italian markets around.

agreatmarket and restaurant. i could spend hours here browsing and shopping - weekday mornings, if possible. saturday is pretty crazy. it's also a nice little restaurant. it has a place where you can order and pick up your food, and a place where you can sit down and eat it - same as any other deli or cafeteria-style operation. it's cheap eats, not fine dining, and it's also a "super" market!

excellent!. the entire experience was absolutely delightful. any gourmet item you could think of. the lattes were prepared beautifully and no modifications were needed once served ( milk, sugar, etc). the sandwiches were also fantastic. ordered and prepared in traditional deli style, the food was perfect. i ordered the cajun fish sandwich and was surprised howgreatthe food was considering it wasnt exactly traditional deli fair, this might be a place one might opt to go to due to distance but i implore anyone in the tampa bay region to visit

great marketplace, but the snack bar is, well, a snack bar. we've been going here for years for the market. fresh cheeses and the best ingredients.greatambiance - right out of nyc. but there is no restaurant, just a snack bar like one you might find at a flea market. i wish they would fix it up a bit so it doesn't feel quite so seedy. i like dives, but i just don't feel comfortable here. go there for the market, which we highly recommend.

love it!. i have to agree, castellano and pizzo in s. tampa is also very good (and hasgreatprices). however, mazzaro's has some features that make it shine. fresh, homemade mozzarella balls, fabulous baked goods, espresso bar. every time i think about it, my mouth waters!
