great foods withgreatview , really like the scallop as an entree and the perfectly cooked medium beef, and of course not complete without dessert 👏🏻

brilliant setting,greatwait staff (cheers gary!) & lovely food. highlight were the mussels for entree. not as good as i'd hoped, but still yummy.

the food is good, as for main; i recommend the beef and duck. and advises against the burramundi, which is a bit bland.

if you are there on sunday, then you have to go with a 'set menu' that includes entre, main, and dessert of your choice. other days you can order whatever you like.

the best thing about this place is the view, it has a commanding view over the wine valley, and you can see all the way out to the ocean. on a sunny day, it's wonderful to grab a table outside.

a really disappointing experience. a table for 9 was booked, staff were informed it was a memorial lunch, later asked who’s birthday was it. food wasgreatbut very slow to serves with 20minutes between 1st to last main delivered. chef was rude when vegan options discussed and she had been told there were lots of options. she felt humiliated by him and ended up in tears. had to ask for water for the table twice. 20min later it arrived. beautiful setting,greatfood, rude chef and terrible service. never again.

had agreat3 course lunch here today and the food was beautiful.greattaste and presentation was just as good. the scenery is superb overlooking the mornington peninsula and agreatplace to come for a drive. the service was very good as well.

max's at red hill is a beautiful location. it's the only winery in the area which has views of the water. food is delicious and their pinot noir is a must. i have been here for lunch a few times and it's good to see the menu changes regularly. the staff and service isgreattoo.

good coffee good wine shame about the food. just finished lunch had high expectations well 5 fails oyt of 5 courses would not waste my money againgreatviews but i came for the food good service but i came for the food what else to say .... get a cook w u o can deliver tough scallops tasteless duck crab with no style or flavour chocoalate plate with no chocolate jusr poor poor poor

one of the best things about attending a wedding is that you can jump in the car and take a roadtrip to a new place you’ve never explored. i’ve been travelling to the mornington peninsula for many years now and it’s one of my favourite destinations in my home state of victoria. the reason why i love the area so much is because it’s close togreatbeaches, on the doorstep of some delicious local produce and it’s easy to drive here for a sneaky weekend getaway. one part of mornington peninsula i haven’t explored as extensively as neighbouring towns is red hill.

absolutely amazing food,greatservice and fabulous wines. could not fault it.

price tag for a view not the food. celebrated a 50th here this week and was disappointed with the prices and the corresponding quality of the food. while there was nothing wrong with the taste of the meal, presentation was below par. max's was definitely not up to the $50 for one course price being charged. barramandi was cooked in the sous vide method and looked brown, dull and unappealing and the asian green's' that were supposed to accompany it was just one variety - some steamed pak choy, i believe. disappointed also that there is also a charge for water. we were informed there is no mains water on the premises which may be the case but why is water offered freely in the wine tasting area next door.

this is agreattourist destination, for the view, and max's would serve itself well if it didn't try to compete at the high end but offered more simple, quality fresh food, cooked well at reasonable prices.

lovely views, good food. the restaurant has beautiful views andgreatservice. we had the ginger and sake cured scallops, szechwan and honey cured salmon, rosemary and garlic stuffed tuscan porchetta, and the grilled eye fillet of gippsland beef. overall the food was good, but not amazing. i really enjoyed the stuffed porchetta, everything else could have done with more flavours. overall a nice experience.

is it the view? is it the wine? is it the food? is it the service? yes. our 4th time in 12 months. everything isgreathere. just being a designated driver.

one of the best views on the penisula. we stopped by redhill estate but max's was booked for a wedding. so we had some platters on the lawn over looking the winery, western port bay and phillip island. the scenery isgreatto share some wine on the outside bean bags and deck chairs. but the platters from the kiosk are an absolute joke. everyone around us who ordered them were perplexed as to what they just paid for. they were terrible.

breath taking views. my wife and i enjoyed 2 courses at this restaurant just yesterday. the food was well presented and tasted superb and of very high quality. we admired the use of local produce in the menu. the restaurant manager was a charming man, who made us feel connected in the moment, he was very helpful and guided us withgreattips of the local area. full service.
