excellent. so i have been in thedenverarea for almost three weeks on business. i am an east coast guy. i am very particular about my pizza, so i decided to test thedenverarea. this place wins. no doubt. great pie and service.

i do not normally post to these sites but i feel obligated to give my opinion of the pizza in denver.

comfortable atmosphere, excellent pizza, and superb service only begins to describe marco’s coal-fired pizzeria. marco’s has been a family favorite pizza spot indenverfor a few years so when they invited me in to review their brunch, ecstatic barely described the extent of my excitement. marco’s has not appeared on here yet only because every time i go, i am so excited to eat the rich pizza with melt-in-your mouth crust, somehow it disappears from my plate before i can take a picture! since lilly sue’s bites and brews is all about the visual appeal, i cannot post without the enticing photos marco’s coal-fired pizza serves brunch 11 am to 3 pm saturdays and sundays with $3 bloody mary’s and $10 bottomless mimosas. steering away from the typical bloody mary, they add a special ingredient: murphy’s irish stout. could i fall more in love- a bloody mary, my favorite brunch cocktail, and beer?! using tabasco

i am so sad to say, i can no longer recommend marco's. we have been supporters for as long as we have been here. taken all of our friends - great pie that is a rarity indenver- with good service and a friendly atmosphere. well things have clearly changed. brought a group of 6 to dinner to have 2 of the party's dinner so delayed that we were done before the last 2 pizzas show up. then to add insult to injury, the late pizza was so undercooked that the figs were ice cold. when we asked them to throw it i'm for a few more minutes, we were told "well we will have to remake it.". do we want to wait another 20 min to eat - no! mistakes happen - even 2 in a meal weight unerstand. but why wouldn't they offer to not charge us for the untouched raw pizza?!?! just poor service!

ate the whole thing.. i came across this place while walking arounddenverone rainy afternoon. ducked in to stay out of the weather and the smell was too inviting to refuse. great italian-style pizza choices (i had the sicilia and a couple of great divide brews) in a kind of "too-fancy-for-me" atmosphere. but i'd surely go back.

i fell in love with marco's. the decor, the service and the food are all fantastic. all the wait staff are friendly and professional. our hostess samantha is a gem and mark & kristy, the owners, made us feel like we were family. i was indenverfor 5 days and ate at marco's 3 times. i went there straight from the airport and met some relatives, we left the ordering to mark, the very personable owner, who brought out a number of pies, an antipasto and an order of coal fired lemoncello chicken wings. everything was so fresh and tasted so good. i'd be hard pressed to pick my favorite pizza. the del re with truffle and porciini mushroom peccorino sardo spread was incredibly delicious as was the toscana pizza. the wings were to die for. the nutella pizza was fantastic. i thought i'd died and gone to heaven when i tasted the dolce pizza, which is another dessert pizza, (not yet on the menu). eventually i got around to trying the meatball sliders. lasgna and a marvelous salad with pears, apples and walnuts, all were so delicious. you can tell all the food here is made with love and the best and freshest ingredients, many imported from italy. they also have a special lunch deal which includes a margarita pizza, salad and soft drink for about $9. hey guys, i live in brooklyn, so i know good pizza, but marco's is true neopolitan pizza and better than anything i've had in nyc in years. i can't wait to get todenverjust to eat at marco's.
