overpriced and lacking quality. my husband and i thought we would try thisplacedespite the poor reviews. from reading the manny g website one would think they have been in business for years, they had me fooled. actually they only started in the food business this year. why do they lie or their web site? just like the star telegram said they are over priced and the food is below average. on top of that they lack parking and the staff is inexperienced. we will be staylng with up n smoke on hwy 377. don't waste your time or money at manny gs

how many good reviews are "real". reviewer joel patterson feels he needs to insult people who don't like manny g's. he is an example of the low class nature of the little place. as far as theplacebeing packed, stop lying joel. even with all the employers cars and the old heap for sale that the owners have had parked in front forever trying to sell to raise money there is still plenty of parking. exactly where down the street are you talking about that people park? you must mean upnsmoke? drive by upnsmoke any given night and then drive by manny g and it is obvious who knows what they are doing. grow up and stop insulting people joel. the owners and anyone their friends come on urbanspoon writing fake reviews. this is evident by the number of reviews for manny g compared to almost any otherplacenearby, including upnsmoke which has been open for business twelve years compared to manny g which is new at the food business. if theplacewas good the owners would not be so obsessed worrying about these negative reviews. you don't see the owner of upnsmoke writing fake reviews about his place. just the fact that manny g changed their sign three times in the short time they have been in business tells me they are desperate to improve business, "its in the food, service and price stupid" not the sign. some people don't like manny g, that is their opinion, they have a right to one and one that may differ from yours, don't demonize them because they think differently then you. the owners should denounce this kind of behavior since they are on urbanspoon so often. it's sad that patrons of manny g's need to belittle others. i'll be going to a friendlier place!

kellers little gem!. i guessing that the review written in the star telegram was shortly after theplaceopened.
i've been 4 times in the last 6 wks and have never been disappointed.
the atmosphere alone is enough to bring you back! personnel are exceptional friendly.
i've yet to make it in for dinner but the breakfast was good (we were with a large crowd and ate on the deck) so the waitress had her hands full. nothing exceptional but come on folks, how much can you change up a good ol' breakfast?
lunch is outstanding! i've had the roast beef sandwhich which is to die for! thick sliced boars head roast beef. i thought i was eating slices left over from mom's dinner last night. grilled with harvatti cheese! yum.
all fo the sanwhiches are huge! salads are made with fresh spring greens - not full of iceburg lettuce!

and what a great atmosphere for drinks and munchies with friends on a friday evening. i'm almost hoping this remains a 'best kept secret' for those of us living in keller!

reply to "smith". odd that someone that only gives the name smith would accuse others of being dishonest .
i gave my full name because i want everyone to know what a greatplacemanny's is . some may not agree , that's ok . i have a feeling manny's will be alright without "smith" .
please enjoy up in smoke . it's a goodplacealso .

i was a little hesitant about eating here due to all the reviews. well, we took a chance and must say the service was horrible! the owner was very nice but his staff look miserable and act it. our waitress looked like she was hangover and was going to vomit. she must've because she disappeared for quite a while. the other staff members were annoyed not just with her but with customers in general. no smiles, nothing. i paid good money for our meal and will not go back due to the service. manny, i'm assuming thisplaceis your baby. get new staff!! they will run your business into the ground. they have nothing to lose. you do! i would love nothing more to find a regular breakfast stop. but until you change your staff, i will sadly not be returning.

offended. my 3 year old tool one bite of pancake and pushed aside. every item was covered with black pepper, including grits. i didn't order pepper. i love black pepper but i couldn't eat the food as it was literally covered. i spent the rest of the meal trying to determine if the grits were grits or gravey. if it was actually gravy then then weren't bad, however, given the texture, etc and the fact they call them grits is disapponting! you should almost just try thisplaceto experience the fact that it exists, then go to the original pancake house to see what all should aspire to.

child please. . . . .. i was told that mannys was a real find. when walking in i i thought "this is what keller needs", thinking that if the food is as good as the look of the restaurant it is a real find.

such was not the case. the homemade chips were good, not great. the service was slow to start but rushed when it suited our waitress.

this is undoubtedly the most overpricedplacein the dfw area. expensive and overpriced. a $50 tenderloin from a great steakhouse is worth every penny. the roast beef sandwhich, dry, dark brown and tasteless, was not worth half the price that was charged. the menu states cajon mayo on the sandwhich. it is accurate, if you know that cajon as stated on the menu (not cajun) is a term for a south american percussion instrument. the taste of the sandwhich was dead on to that of a peruvian drum.

the service, or lack of it, needs to be mentioned. i don't need the staff or the owner of a restuarant to be my friend. but the vibe of the staff is far from one of appreciative and they couldn't spell service if spotted the s-e-r-v-i and c.

save your money and go to aplacethat you know to be at least average.

great breakfast. my wife and i dine here at least once a month for breakfast. i could eat here all the time but i often get strong rebuttals to go elsewhere simply because the breakfast menu could be expanded to accommodate a wider variety of breakfast options, to be specific my wife loves french toast (which, sadly, is not on the menu). the coffee is perfect and we often find ourselves drifting to manny's simply to enjoy the coffee. the waitstaff is good, although we have had some bad service but we've run into that issue at many places as i believe it goes with the business. my only real complaint is that i can never have room to eat the plate sized pancake after eating the rest of my meal... greatplacefor a casual breakfast to chat over excellent coffee.

great experience!. after living just a couple of blocks away for 3 years, i finally ate at manny g's this morning for breakfast. overall, it was a great experience, and i will return. theplacewas immaculate, very clean, and a very relaxed atmosphere. the wait staff was prompt and very attentive to the needs and wants of the customers. the food was delivered in a timely manner, hot, and exactly as ordered. i had the manny breakfast of 2 eggs, grits, sausage, potatoes, biscuit, and a huge flapjack. i don't care for grits, but they were good. i only have 2 negatives. one is there was a strong onion/garlic flavor that was in all the food, including the gravy. the other is there were no hashbrowns on the menu. this is texas, you must offer hashbrowns manny. everything else was to my liking. the biscuit (a big deal breaker for me) was awesome. i will be back!!!

great breakfast. we recently had breakfast at manny g's, and enjoyed every bite of it. i have an alergy to wheat and gluten, and asked that my breakfast to be cooked in a certain way. my omelet was delicious, with no ill effects. my husband had a traditional breakfast of eggs, large biscuits with sausage gravey, which was very good. when we get to eat out, we have to choose aplacethat will fix it my way. next we will try lunch and then dinner. looking forward to having many many great experiences with this restaurant.

great food...worst service. distinctive new mexico flavors, 4 star chef with some very complex, unique and satisfying dishes. this is the type ofplaceyou see featured on any one of the food network television programs with one exception, the most intolerable and slow wait staff in the restaurant industry.

the good, the bad, and the ugly. i will say what i did like about this place. my husband and i drove by and were instantly intrigued. as we walked in we were pleased because it was beyond charming. when we came out onto the patio i have to say we thought it one of the most inviting places this side of the metroplex. a true little gem tucked under beautiful trees - or so we thought. the waitress was friendly but it took awhile to get our drinks, which was not a really big deal, that happens and we understand, but it got worse. i ordered a panini but did not want the meat on it, so i asked for extra, extra cheese (totally imagining a pressed sandwich on good warm bread full of gooey cheese). what i got was two pieces of cool bread with slight grill marks - and one thin slice of cheese. one! the cheese was topped with a sprinkling of bagged arugala. the price $11.00!! the beer was cold so that was good and the patio was beyond pleasant, but $11.00?? our sides were nasty and obviously out of a can. an old can. the owner was over at a large table and when we told the waitress how nice theplacewas (before the $11.00 piece of cheese i got for dinner), she went over to tell the owner how much we liked it. the owner looked at us sideways and with no acknowledgement other than a glance, turned his back to us and started to talk a table of what appeared to be friends of his.i don't know where the owner is from, but i would bet dimes to donuts it is not from texas or any other southern state. rude treatment down here does not fly. we treat strangers like friends and let people know we appreciate them. just look for the chicago based sandwich deli that lasted 4 months in watauga because they treated people the same way - it was good, but it did not last because basically, the owners were rude and unappreciative. it pays to know about regional differences and who your audience is.my dog's veternarian, groomer, and my personal physician all house in keller and all have been to manny's - and have come back with bad reviews that closely matched ours.when we got the check that night we were there, we were mortified. the service was passable (and we tipped over 20%). food was not good and hideously over-priced. we thought the owner was aloof and rude.my husband and i eat 70% of our meals in restaurants and spend a large amount of money each month just doing that because we enjoy it so. we will not be back to manny's. if our experience was just a glitch and not common, we would roll wih it. by talking to friends, co-workers, and reading this site, i do not think our experience was an isolated one.
