manny g's

cajun meatloaf, mmmmmm good.. my wife and i have been to manny g's 4 or 5 times. our impression is that it is a nice local hangout. this is definitely not a fast food restaurant. we enjoyed our meals and found the atmosphere relaxing, great vibe. the cajun meatloaf is wonderful.

overpriced and lacking quality. my husband and i thought we would try this place despite the poor reviews. from reading the manny g website one would think they have been in business for years, they had me fooled. actually they only started in the food business this year. why do they lie or their web site? just like the star telegram said they are over priced and the food is below average. on top of that they lack parking and the staff is inexperienced. we will be staylng with up n smoke on hwy 377. don't waste your time or money at manny gs

absolute delight!!. i have recently visited this restaurant, and was surprisingly pleased.. i say surprisingly because of the negative reviews.
the wait staff was friendly and professional, the food was excellent.
the place has an all around nice family feel to it..
i was impressed and will definately recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

how many good reviews are "real". reviewer joel patterson feels he needs to insult people who don't like manny g's. he is an example of the low class nature of the little place. as far as the place being packed, stop lying joel. even with all the employers cars and the old heap for sale that the owners have had parked in front forever trying to sell to raise money there is still plenty of parking. exactly where down the street are you talking about that people park? you must mean upnsmoke? drive by upnsmoke any given night and then drive by manny g and it is obvious who knows what they are doing. grow up and stop insulting people joel. the owners and anyone their friends come on urbanspoon writing fake reviews. this is evident by the number of reviews for manny g compared to almost any other place nearby, including upnsmoke which has been open for business twelve years compared to manny g which is new at the food business. if the place was good the owners would not be so obsessed worrying about these negative reviews. you don't see the owner of upnsmoke writing fake reviews about his place. just the fact that manny g changed their sign three times in the short time they have been in business tells me they are desperate to improve business, "its in the food, service and price stupid" not the sign. some people don't like manny g, that is their opinion, they have a right to one and one that may differ from yours, don't demonize them because they think differently then you. the owners should denounce this kind of behavior since they are on urbanspoon so often. it's sad that patrons of manny g's need to belittle others. i'll be going to a friendlier place!

disappointment. my family has tried manny g's several times in hope for a better dining experience. most of the time the service is terrible. this morning for breakfast, the "chef" had to wait on our table because our waitress completely forgot about us. the food is good if they have it in stock in the back, but the overall experience continues to disappoint.

breakfast is available on the weekends and is the best around-bacon, sausage, pancakes all have a unique twist to the norm. they sure know how to make over hard eggs!!

kellers little gem!. i guessing that the review written in the star telegram was shortly after the place opened.
i've been 4 times in the last 6 wks and have never been disappointed.
the atmosphere alone is enough to bring you back! personnel are exceptional friendly.
i've yet to make it in for dinner but the breakfast was good (we were with a large crowd and ate on the deck) so the waitress had her hands full. nothing exceptional but come on folks, how much can you change up a good ol' breakfast?
lunch is outstanding! i've had the roast beef sandwhich which is to die for! thick sliced boars head roast beef. i thought i was eating slices left over from mom's dinner last night. grilled with harvatti cheese! yum.
all fo the sanwhiches are huge! salads are made with fresh spring greens - not full of iceburg lettuce!

and what a great atmosphere for drinks and munchies with friends on a friday evening. i'm almost hoping this remains a 'best kept secret' for those of us living in keller!

i gave my full name because i want everyone to know what a great place manny's is . some may not agree , that's ok . i have a feeling manny's will be alright without "smith" .
please enjoy up in smoke . it's a good place also .

hidden gem. great little family owned neighborhood bar and grill. friendly staff, fun customers, and spectacular beer selection. always have something special on tap!

good food, horrible service at this time. we were the only ones in the restaurant and were completely ignored. had to be recognized by the cook staff. the two female bartenders were only concerned with the people drinking at the bar. definitely won't be returning when the owners are not here.

i love their fried zucchini!!! food is excellent. service could be better though.

manny g's is a family friendly pub. they have not a large range of choices but they make sure that the ones that are on the menu are the best, they have a foot long corn dog for the kids and armadillo eggs for appetizers.(not real eggs, just sausage, cheese, and jalapeño) !

what happened to manny g's. stopped by today for breakfast, since they serve such great ones and found out they no longer are serving breakfast. not sure what else is happening as to their serving food. very sad!

i went there at lunch when they first opened with several people from work. we told them we had half an hour and they suggested burgers. we waited over an hour and they got the orders wrong, mischarged everyone, left out two orders that were still at the restaurant and nobody was able to eat because we had to go back to work since we had to clock back in immediately. they completely left my order out and my friend's so; i called to let them know that i had to share with someone on my 5 minute break 2 hours later because i had no food!! she called in for herself. they knew they left our orders out and told me no problem. i went by after work just after my friend got her money back for leaving her order out as well. so, when i came in; he said to me,"well, you got to eat!", "are you people trying to put me outta business!!!" very rudely and shook his his head. really?!!! first of all, the prices are high enough to have easily paid for any losses ...but no, i don't pay to share someone else's food and i don't pay for food that they forgot to put in the bags. i will never go back. if they didn't serve alcohol, they would already be out of business.

amazing hatch chili soup!!! i've also been there for breakfast and it's homestyle cooking. good stuff!
