manny g's

the g is for get me to a bathroom!. i have never taken the time to write a bad review, but this one has to be posted. i went to eat there since i drove past it hundreds of times. i am guessing the bar is the attraction, because the food i had was horrible. the burger was fried, and the chicken strips had a strange fishy odor to them. the burger had burnt cheese on it. the cheese was so burned i almost thought it was missing. the waitress was nice, but the older people there (i am guessing they run the place) were not friendly at all. in fact the older lady working there seemed put out when she was opening the door. my wife child and i walked through and she didn't say "come again, or have a nice night". i got several dirty looks from older waitresses ( i am assuming its because i have lots of tattoos although i am not a thug, i run a clothing company, and i am always polite, i get looked at as if i am ready to rob any place i go) i asked if the burger was flame grilled and was told "yes" but it was cooked in a skillet or george foreman, and while i did ask for the burger to be well done, that usually doesn't include the cheese.
the chicken fried steak is what did me and my wife in i think. it was bland, yet powerful enough to race through me like leeroy on a crotch rocket. we almost didn't make it home since it had me running to the nearest toilet which i think should be condemned by the state now!

for anyone else who thinks they need to start a restaurant and serve bad food or food that falls off a sysco truck. rethink it.... if you grow up eating dog poo you may think its pumpkin pie, but it doesn't mean it tastes good to anyone who has had the real thing.

if you are a really good cook, people will beg you for recipe of whatever you make, barring that stay out of the food business!

as for manny g's it was a waste of $50, now off to take a pepcid...

the truth never hurts!. to the butter man. i would like to say that you need to get your story on the correct track. calling my staff a holes and yelling at me saying and i quote. "f u you a hole". i have over 20 people that heard you say that. we dont want people like you in our establishment. im sorry i did not butter your toast the way you like it. and i hope you have better days. i would hate it if my life was that bad that i had to treat people so horrible. and yes you did this same crap 2 times your all over the cameras. im gona pray that somehow you find happiness. and just fyi balling your fist and acting like your going to hit someone is not the way to act in a public place. i do hope you enjoyed your free meal. it almost seems like a bad ploy to get free food.

i am upset about the negative reviews. but we are new and we are trying to get the staff up to par :) i personally want to try to please everyone with my food and service. i pray that you give us another chance and let us try to sway you in a positive manner. sorry that you have had an unpleasant experience, that is not what we wanted. i hope to see and serve you again thx chef cheyne.

manny g's .... not so friendly. my wife and i went there the last 2 sundays.
today i asked to have my toast buttered when told that i cannot i canceled my order and was content just getting coffee,the waitress talked to the cook shawn and said he would do it if we still wanted to order. i said sure. of course he had to butter both sides! when i asked him about really showing me by buttering both sides he was a complete idiot about it. he curtly replied that how he likes his. i was content with getting coffee and he insisted the special order was fine. he ended the whole fiasco by yelling loudly and kicking us out. nice sunday morning breakfast place...not for me.

pricey, but good. the homemade potato chips are amazing, especially with their ranch dressing. i also had one of the best sandwiches i've ever had. it is a bit expensive, but they use high quality boar's head meat.

overpriced & overrated. food is average, but you pay above average prices. don't know why this place is voted so high up. it's not that great.

absolutely amazing. manny g's has the best chips and desserts in keller. plus they have actual hatch green chili, not that green sauce crap at tex mex restaurants, and it's amazing. very friendly staff and a nice environment for everyone.

disgusting, vomitville, worst of the worst. you may not like yourself after eating at this establishment. horrible food and horrible prices only start to describe this second rate eatery, service is not at the top of the list, in fact it's not on the list at all. a rundown house with a coat of paint, certainly not suitable for a growing keller.

loved it!. i have become a regular at manny g's and have seen this new restaurant go from good to great as the staff has hit its stride. breakfast is always awesome and the lunch and dinner menus are frequently updated with new items. their black bean burger is new and too good for words. cheyne also prepares shrimp perfectly. this guy is the real deal. some folks have complained that their prices are too high, but this is not mass produced chow like at chain restaurants such as cheddars or ihop. this is higher quality from the outset and in my opiinion is great value for the money. as for parking, i was there for breakfast this morning and there is new parking , although it is still a bit tight. my only recommendation is that they should get a better sign which is more visible from the street. it is too easy to miss.

manny g's was the best!. i live on the east coast and was in town visiting relatives and manny's was a wonderful place to eat, socialize, catch a game and listen to music. i ate there a few times over vacation and was never disappointed. we saw many people stop in just to get orders of their fantastic armadillo eggs on their way home from work! we got to meet both manny and his wife one evening and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. the waitresses were attentive and the bartenders were absolutely top notch, friendly and made sure we didn't have to wait even with a full house. we miss the fun communtiy vibe of mannys and will definitely go back whenever we are in town. we wish we had manny's here!

exceptional balance and unique!. i have eaten at manny's a couple times and this place just continues to surprise me with new menu items and exceptional service. they have live music some nights plus a good mix of rotating beers on tap. the staff has always been overly attentive (even when the place is packed). not only did i meet manny, but he actually took time to sit down and talk to us. he even spent a few minutes amazing my 3 year old with his magic tricks. that really impressed me and is something i rarely see in this day and age. further, i made a comment on them not carrying a certain type of liquor. low and behold next time i came in…. there it was.
this place has a hometown feel, good food, and is a fun place. manny's has truly created the perfect atmosphere and balance between a bar and restaurant.

can't wait to get back. on a 4 day trip to the dallas area i found myself at manny g's twice and can't wait to get back again.

staff and customers alike were very friendly, we don't have establishments in our area with the character and atmosphere that i found at manny g's.

rest assured i will be back on my next visit.
