not what i expected. we researched and read the menu before deciding to try lupi and leo today for lunch at about 2:00 in the afternoon. we were greeted and seated promptly and then immediately offered a drink, "would you like to try one of our specialty teas? we have strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry." each of our party of four ordered a tea. it wasn't until after we'd drank half of them and when the waitress came back and asked if we'd like another that she told us it would be $2.50 for a refill. and it wasn't until we got the bill that we found out that not only was the one glass of tea $2.50 but that there was a $1 charge for each glass for the flavored syrup. buyer beware, drinks are not on the menu and prices are not told ahead of time. so two glasses of tea with flavored syrup cost $7 for my spouse and i (plus another $7 for our friends that we dined with). this is ridiculous.
now, onto the food. the slice of pizza that my husband ordered was undercooked. the dough was gummy and moist in the middle, and the cheese wasn't completely melted. one of our party ordered the cuban rueben and then the waitress had to return to our table to say that they were out of sauerkraut. she then watched as another worker brought the sauerkraut into the restaurant and said that they would indeed be able to make the sandwich. i ordered the "grilled ribeye salad- $12.99
tender ribeye steak grilled with garlic herb butter, sautéed mushrooms, red onion,
roasted peppers, french fries & your choice of cheese (shredded mozzarella, cheddar or bleu cheese) all on
mixed greens. " the salad was a huge disappointment. i asked for my bleu cheese crumbles on the side and they were served on the salad and not as requested. the tender ribeye steak was reminiscent of thick steak-ums and didn't taste like it was grilled with garlic herb butter. the mushrooms, red onion, and roasted peppers were overcooked, the fries (frozen seasoned curly fries) were cold and worst of all, the "mixed greens" were iceberg and two pieces of spinach. this for $12.99 was underwhelming. my friend got the "baby spinach and goat cheese soufflé salad- $12.99
slow roasted chicken, pickled red onion, toasted pistachios, all covered in a warm bacon vinaigrette with a goat cheese soufflé on the side." and said that it was already drowning in dressing before adding any to it on her own. the chicken tasted like it had been boiled and there was so little spinach that it wasn't worth the $12.99 price. the breadsticks served with the salads looked like large dog bones and were not much more than very hard cooked pizza dough.

now, the guys in our party both ordered sandwiches and loved them. the cuban reuben was a big hit as was the twisted chicken was a delightful flavor sensation.

i wouldn't return to this restaurant. i'm always on a quest for a good salad and thisplacedid not deliver.
well, that and the "specialty tea" that is not special at all.

loved it!. i can't say enough positve things about this place!! wonderful food, great service and a cool and fun atmosphere-was a little reluctant to try, as bad review below gave me the impression it was more of a bar setting but that is far from the truth! i am suprised that someone would think this was the type ofplaceto sit for hours and drink wine!! fun and friendly and a greatplaceto grab a sandwich or a meal-not a bar type setting at all!! will return

never again...... today is a sad day. i will never step a foot into lupi and leos again. you must first know i go there frequently and spend a lot of money at thatplaceon a monthly basis....so i, again, pick thisplacefor my friends and i to meet and drink wine and have a good time....the owner comes to our table and tells us that we have been there too long and to leave...meanwhile....the bill was almost 2oo hundred dollars for 4 people and the waiter tom( who was great by the way) was tipped 60 bucks...i have never been spoken to like that ever...especially at aplacethat i go to often....i will never step a foot into that restaurant again!!

pleasantly surprised!!!. i was in town for a steelers game and a friend told me about lupi and leo. to me, the best way to describe it is 'eclectic'. the variety on the menu was a pleasant surprise...from shrimp and grits to seafood tacos. a lot of very interesting appetizers and desserts as well. the cheese sticks are made fresh and to die for! they are huge, and they serve them with two delicious sauces. i had the shrimp and grits and it was probably the best i've ever had, and i've had lots of shrimp and grits all over the country. it was very fresh and tasty. the seafood tacos were also delicious. we followed it up with the caramel apple alamode, and the double chocolate cake. incredible!! the only problem with this restaurant is that you want to try everything on the menu! it's refreshing to visit a restaurant that is unique, and offers a variety of food. the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very professional and friendly. i would highly recommend thisplaceif you like tasty food and great service. i can't wait to get back in town to try some of the other items on the menu!

what's good? everything!. i'm picky. really, really picky. this restaurant makes everything from scratch, which helps me with my food allergies as well as picky taste. a good friend of mine also has food sensitivities too, and has no problems eating here. you know what you are eating is not from a package. that is important to me.

the pizza is incredible, we get "the don". the tomato bisque is delicious. the pulled pork "pigg" sandwich is delish, the chicken spinach salad with a goat cheese quiche is soooo good. the gigantic homemade breadsticks that come with the soup...oh.my.gawd. desserts are all house made...if you have room.

i have gone with my husband several times as well as proudly introducing this cuteplaceto friends. everyone always raves about it. we have never gotten anything we didn't like. really. the prices are comparable to a crummy chain restaurant, but the food is great, as is the service.

during prime times the restaurant does get very busy & there most likely will be a wait. that is a good sign! so if it's lunchtime or a weekend, try to get there early or a bit off-peak for faster seating. but it is worth the wait!

over priced never again. my family and i stayed the two nights at the new holiday inn just down the road from this restaurant. the next day we were looking for aplaceto eat for lunch we came across lupi and leos. there was nothing wrong with the service, but the food was way over priced and average at best, i dont mind paying my had earned money for good food but it felt like i was getting ripped off not only on the food but for drinks no refills on flavored teas they add a little flavor to tea and charge you alot money for it. i was suprised when i found out that it wasnt a chain because my husband and i exspect getting taking avange of from chains thats why we dont go to them. so later that night we went out to dinner trying to find a greatplaceto eat we went to the restaurant next to lupi and leos, black rock alehouse food was great affordable and big portions service was awesome treated our family like one of there own. if we come back though greensburg we will be stopping there again.

best little restaurant. first time visitor and absolutely loved it. while waiting for a table to seat six, we hung out in the take-out area on two comfy couches, and had appetizers, wine (byob) and pizza (best pizza i've ever had). once seated, the food did not take long and everyone was very happy with their order. the entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. thisplaceis too good for the minimal amount of seating - please expand!

great owners, food, and atmosphere. i have been to this restaurant many times! it has quickly become my favorite eatery in greensburg. the owners are super friendly and after the first visit, on my next visit they remembered my name and also the food that i ordered. the buffalo chicken pizza is the most amazing thing on the menu, but the grilled cheese of the day is always a neat surprise coupled with home-made tomato soup, and you are set! you have to give thisplacea try.

wonderful unique eatery!!!!!!!. i simply loved it here. reminded me of aplaceyou would stumble into along the strip district. a great menu with many cultured dishes to choose from. they wanted something a little different and they certainly achieved just that. the beef short ribs are impeccable accompanied by a side of tabouli salad was just phenomenal. our server was so pleasant and although i didn't have room for desert, they brought out a lovely tray with assorted goods to choose from that are made by their own personal pastry chef. i will certainly return soon!
