not what i expected. we researched and read the menu before deciding to try lupi and leo today for lunch at about 2:00 in the afternoon. we were greeted and seated promptly and then immediately offered a drink, "would you like to try one of our specialty teas? we have strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry." each of our party of four ordered a tea. it wasn't until after we'd drank half of them and when the waitress came back and asked if we'd like another that she told us it would be $2.50 for a refill. and it wasn't until we got the bill that we found out that not only was the one glass of tea $2.50 but that there was a $1 charge for each glass for the flavored syrup. buyer beware, drinks are not on the menu and prices are not told ahead of time. so two glasses of tea with flavored syrup cost $7 for my spouse and i (plus another $7 for our friends that we dined with). this is ridiculous.
now, onto the food. the slice of pizza that my husband ordered was undercooked. the dough was gummy and moist in the middle, and the cheese wasn't completely melted. one of our party ordered the cuban rueben and then the waitress had to return to our table to say that they were out of sauerkraut. she then watched as another worker brought the sauerkraut into the restaurant and said that they would indeed be able to make the sandwich. i ordered the "grilled ribeye salad- $12.99
tender ribeye steak grilled with garlic herb butter, sautéed mushrooms, red onion,
roasted peppers, french fries & your choice of cheese (shredded mozzarella, cheddar or bleu cheese) all on
mixed greens. " the salad was a huge disappointment. i asked for my bleu cheese crumbles on the side and they were served on the salad and not as requested. the tender ribeye steak was reminiscent of thick steak-ums and didn't taste like it was grilled with garlic herb butter. the mushrooms, red onion, and roasted peppers were overcooked, the fries (frozen seasoned curly fries) were cold and worst of all, the "mixed greens" were iceberg and two pieces of spinach. this for $12.99 was underwhelming. my friend got the "baby spinach and goat cheese soufflé salad- $12.99
slow roasted chicken, pickled red onion, toasted pistachios, all covered in a warm bacon vinaigrette with a goat cheese soufflé on the side." and said that it was already drowning in dressing before adding any to it on her own. the chicken tasted like it had been boiled and there was so little spinach that it wasn't worth the $12.99 price. the breadsticks served with the salads looked like large dog bones and were not much more than very hard cooked pizza dough.

now, the guys in our party both ordered sandwiches and loved them. the cuban reuben was a big hit as was the twisted chicken was a delightful flavor sensation.

i wouldn't return to this restaurant. i'm always on a quest for a good salad and this place did not deliver.
well, that and the "specialty tea" that is not special at all.

loved it!. i can't say enough positve things about this place!! wonderful food, great service and a cool and fun atmosphere-was a little reluctant to try, as bad review below gave me the impression it was more of a bar setting but that is far from the truth! i am suprised that someone would think this was the type of place to sit for hours and drink wine!! fun and friendly and a great place to grab a sandwich or a meal-not a bar type setting at all!! will return

this is the pizza we've been searching for!

my husband and i love trying pizza at every local eatery and finally we've found one that is near perfection. the sauce, the crust, the ooey amazing cheese. yes!!

oh, and the rest of the menu is awesome as well. bacon wrapped figs were a surprising treat. though they might be even better with some type of spicy drizzle.

the service was fantastic. knowledgeable server, friendly helpful staff all around. i even enjoyed watching the chefs in the open kitchen and i marveled at how happy they seemed. having past experience working in a restaurant i know that's unusual. :)

really happy greensburg has a restaurant like this.

never again...... today is a sad day. i will never step a foot into lupi and leos again. you must first know i go there frequently and spend a lot of money at that place on a monthly basis....so i, again, pick this place for my friends and i to meet and drink wine and have a good time....the owner comes to our table and tells us that we have been there too long and to leave...meanwhile....the bill was almost 2oo hundred dollars for 4 people and the waiter tom( who was great by the way) was tipped 60 bucks...i have never been spoken to like that ever...especially at a place that i go to often....i will never step a foot into that restaurant again!!

upscale food...casual atmosphere.. any restauranteur should know the taste of the town in which they do business. i see so many high-end restaurants go way over the top for no real reason; most people around here don't care or appreciate it, so why do it (valozzi's, supper club, 111, solstice, etc.)? instead of meeting the needs and desires of the local taste and demographics, it seems that so many places are pretending that they're somewhere else, and something they are not. lupi and leos' hit it on the head...upscale, eclectic culinary fusion with a 'salt of the earth' ambiance. if you are looking to try someplace out, this is the spot...sure to be your new favorite place. along with amazing sandwiches, salads, and exquisite entrees', the pizza is, hands-down, the best in the land. 5 stars...5 thumbs-up...whatever, you will not be dissapointed.

a frequent resturant diner, dining in and taking out, with my wife. we eat out 5 times a week.. i do not like the warning on your menu that is coupled by statements from your staff that ground meat can cause serious illness or death. many menus have statements that state that meat, fish, both fresh and shell fish, served partially cooked or raw, if consumed in that manner and can cause serious illness or death.

nevertheless, vallozzi's, olive garden, supper club, old spitfire grille, la tavala , wooden nickle, and many others serve fried grround meat rare and warmer. greensburg country club, the madison club and cherry creek all serve rare burgers, although you may have taken over the kitchen at cherry creek. my wife and i visit our children often in connecticut, n. y. c., philadelphia, and minneapolis. it is usual that good resturants serve ground meat rare, while not so good resturants refuse to do so. ground meat that contains ground up bone, while being 100% beef, has all the cattle's bone and that type of meat can certainly cause severe illness or worse.
the meat at walmart's or sam's club that is the lowest price has all the bone, including the head bone. people who see on your menu that rare or medium rare ground beef will not be served in that fashion will know that you are using the cheapest ground beef you can buy. i think you are not doing.

pleasantly surprised!!!. i was in town for a steelers game and a friend told me about lupi and leo. to me, the best way to describe it is 'eclectic'. the variety on the menu was a pleasant surprise...from shrimp and grits to seafood tacos. a lot of very interesting appetizers and desserts as well. the cheese sticks are made fresh and to die for! they are huge, and they serve them with two delicious sauces. i had the shrimp and grits and it was probably the best i've ever had, and i've had lots of shrimp and grits all over the country. it was very fresh and tasty. the seafood tacos were also delicious. we followed it up with the caramel apple alamode, and the double chocolate cake. incredible!! the only problem with this restaurant is that you want to try everything on the menu! it's refreshing to visit a restaurant that is unique, and offers a variety of food. the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very professional and friendly. i would highly recommend this place if you like tasty food and great service. i can't wait to get back in town to try some of the other items on the menu!

so yummy!. unique eatery that surprises every time. the service is very friendly, the food is wonderful, and all made from scratch. new items on the menu all the time. prices are comparable to a chain restaurant, but the food is great. if you want something different, this is the place for you!

what's good? everything!. i'm picky. really, really picky. this restaurant makes everything from scratch, which helps me with my food allergies as well as picky taste. a good friend of mine also has food sensitivities too, and has no problems eating here. you know what you are eating is not from a package. that is important to me.

the pizza is incredible, we get "the don". the tomato bisque is delicious. the pulled pork "pigg" sandwich is delish, the chicken spinach salad with a goat cheese quiche is soooo good. the gigantic homemade breadsticks that come with the soup...oh.my.gawd. desserts are all house made...if you have room.

i have gone with my husband several times as well as proudly introducing this cute place to friends. everyone always raves about it. we have never gotten anything we didn't like. really. the prices are comparable to a crummy chain restaurant, but the food is great, as is the service.

during prime times the restaurant does get very busy & there most likely will be a wait. that is a good sign! so if it's lunchtime or a weekend, try to get there early or a bit off-peak for faster seating. but it is worth the wait!

my husband and i have stopped here for lunch several times. we absolutely love the b.c.m. sandwich, and the white chicken chili is like no other. service is always great and all of the staff are very friendly. we have recommended this to many of our friends and have received thank yous from each of them. the food and service has remained consistently good, since their first few days open.

overpriced. food was very good but not on par with the prices. lack of any atmosphere whatsoever. if you are taking someone out for dinner to impress, avoid this place.
