lucchese's italian restaurant

excellent!. my best suggestion is to walk into therestaurantand to tell your server to have zach or aaron create something for you! they are the chefs and they are simply genius. everything on the menu is delicious but a favorite is the limoncello pasta with shrimp! great atmosphere!

food is amazing. i've been her several times for lunch and dinner and the food is always perfect. the hostess was very obviously unhappy that i entered therestauranton a friday night 15 minutes before closing time, but the waiter was very nice. i don't think that the hostess knows that i drive over an hour to get here. oh well, she'll get over it. :-)

hearty portions, pleasant atmosphere. was pleased to find thisrestaurantin elkhart (through urbanspoon). very family friendly. i'd definitely return.

always a great time. never disappointed with anything i have ordered at luccheses. as far as creating unique and tasty dishes they go well beyond what most any otherrestaurantin the area does. every visit to luccheses has been a good one. i would recommend thisrestaurantto others before any otherrestaurantin elkhart for great food, and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

typical generic elkhart food. i have tried this place 3 times when traveling from texas on business..very blah and generic italian food. i am not surprised, since this are of the midwest is not known for the greatest of foods. my partners and i did try the newrestaurantacross the way though, last week, and thats where everyone should be eating..the new smokehouse...best wings and sausage i have ever had!!

always undercooked. my co-workers and i ate here several times and every time my pasta was under cooked. i also felt rushed to eat. i have no idea how thisrestaurantcould possibly be tops in elkhart. there are so many other restaurants that are waaaaaayyyyy better. try antonio's for good authentic italian.

worst....service...ever!. i have been to lucchese's three times over the past month because i needed to attend meetings or was invited. all three times (with different parties, combination of lunch or diinner, and with different servers) the service was horrible! not only were they rude, but we always felt rushed to hurry up and eat. my friend asked for more water and the server, literally sighed and said "okay". a different day, i was in a party of four and we asked for seperate bills (was never asked in the beginning what we preferred) and the server (female, older woman) seriously said to us "well, i can do that, but we are really busy and it will take an extra 15 minutes to do that". in all three times, we were never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything further. i was beginning to think that maybe i was a curse to this horrible service, but some friends that i dined with agreed that the place has definately gone down hill since moving to cr 17. on a plus side...the food was excellent. however, i have also heard rumblings around town that therestaurantis experiencing tough times. wouldn't you think if that were the case, more emphasis would be placed on having good service? i am one of those customers who still left honorable tips, won't complain to the management, but i will never, ever come back to eat or invite anyone else to eat at lucchese's again.
