lucchese's italian restaurant

food is amazing. i've been her several times for lunch and dinner and thefoodis always perfect. the hostess was very obviously unhappy that i entered the restaurant on a friday night 15 minutes before closing time, but the waiter was very nice. i don't think that the hostess knows that i drive over an hour to get here. oh well, she'll get over it. :-)

love lucchese's! greatfood& service!. lucchese's is one of our favorite places to eat in town! my wife loves the chicken linguine and i usually have one of the specials. the pizzas are excellent as well. service has always been great and the staff very friendly...there have only been a couple of times when the service was a bit slow, but they were very busy so it was understandable. there are lots of regulars on friday evenings so make sure to have a reservation. drink specials are great during week days- we love $1.75 imports on wed and 1/2 all glasses of wine thurs!!

my husband and i went to lucchese's on 5/31/2013. walked thru the door at 5:00. the place was empty except for one other table. we we happy we had beaten the friday dinner rush! but, hostess was a real b**ch. told us we needed to be done by 7:00 because they were booked with reservations. wow! i have never recieved such an un-hospitable welcome!foodwas just okay, nothing to brag about. i would not have taken the time to review the place if it hadnt been for such poor quality of staff :(

2 hrs + to get our food. service was the worst.foodover cooked. headed to miles lab next time.

great service, greatfoodmade with fresh ingredients. fair prices for authentic italian. one of the few great restaurants in the area!

horrible horrible fettuccine alfredo. i'm pretty sure it was ragu or something similar. every body at my table barely ate any of thefoodand when the waiter came to check on our table we asked for our check. he asked us if he could box anything up and we all said no, he had a look of shock on his face.

wonderful dinner. we had a group for dinner in the private room - excellentfoodall around, great service. wine by the glass on thursdays is half price - good wine, good price. thank you, lucchese's.

awesome place, awesome food!. i love thefoodvariety, quality of thefoodpreparation and staff. i will recommend this place to anybody who want to eat good italian food. the place is very cozy and comfortable. five stars from me!!!

worst....service...ever!. i have been to lucchese's three times over the past month because i needed to attend meetings or was invited. all three times (with different parties, combination of lunch or diinner, and with different servers) the service was horrible! not only were they rude, but we always felt rushed to hurry up and eat. my friend asked for more water and the server, literally sighed and said "okay". a different day, i was in a party of four and we asked for seperate bills (was never asked in the beginning what we preferred) and the server (female, older woman) seriously said to us "well, i can do that, but we are really busy and it will take an extra 15 minutes to do that". in all three times, we were never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything further. i was beginning to think that maybe i was a curse to this horrible service, but some friends that i dined with agreed that the place has definately gone down hill since moving to cr 17. on a plus side...thefoodwas excellent. however, i have also heard rumblings around town that the restaurant is experiencing tough times. wouldn't you think if that were the case, more emphasis would be placed on having good service? i am one of those customers who still left honorable tips, won't complain to the management, but i will never, ever come back to eat or invite anyone else to eat at lucchese's again.

good.... when they were located downtown elkhart (jackson street), i ate here all the time. i work close by, and we were always in there for lunch.

their bread and dipping oil (yum!), pizza, pasta creations. all delicious. i would usually try one of the specials, but haven't tried one since they moved out to cr 17. last time i went the whole atmosphere has changed. granted it was dinner, and it's still nice, but it lost some of its old world charm with the location change.

thefoodis still yummy, and i also ordered some very delicious salads from the counter upon leaving. i will go back, but i miss the old lucchese's.

it's a great place to eat. service i'd good thefoodis great an you always get a good glass of wine or cocktail to pair well with your meal. i deffinitly reccomend them to almost anyone new in town or out-of-towners.
