lucchese's italian restaurant

excellent!. my best suggestion is to walk into the restaurant and to tell your server to have zach or aaron create something for you! they are the chefs and they are simply genius. everything on the menu is delicious but a favorite is the limoncello pasta with shrimp! great atmosphere!

food is amazing. i've been her several times for lunch and dinner and the food is always perfect. the hostess was very obviously unhappy that i entered the restaurant on a friday night 15 minutes before closing time, but the waiter was very nice. i don't think that the hostess knows that i drive over an hour to get here. oh well, she'll get over it. :-)

overpriced and mediocre quality. got the chicken scampi today at lunch and it was cooked medium rare - inedible! go to antonio's one mile away for fantastic authentic italian food.

love lucchese's! great food & service!. lucchese's is one of our favorite places to eat in town! my wife loves the chicken linguine and i usually have one of the specials. the pizzas are excellent as well. service has always been great and the staff very friendly...there have only been a couple of times when the service was a bit slow, but they were very busy so it was understandable. there are lots of regulars on friday evenings so make sure to have a reservation. drink specials are great during week days- we love $1.75 imports on wed and 1/2 all glasses of wine thurs!!

my husband and i went to lucchese's on 5/31/2013. walked thru the door at 5:00. the place was empty except for one other table. we we happy we had beaten the friday dinner rush! but, hostess was a real b**ch. told us we needed to be done by 7:00 because they were booked with reservations. wow! i have never recieved such an un-hospitable welcome! food was just okay, nothing to brag about. i would not have taken the time to review the place if it hadnt been for such poor quality of staff :(

2 hrs + to get our food. service was the worst. food over cooked. headed to miles lab next time.

horrible horrible fettuccine alfredo. i'm pretty sure it was ragu or something similar. every body at my table barely ate any of the food and when the waiter came to check on our table we asked for our check. he asked us if he could box anything up and we all said no, he had a look of shock on his face.

hearty portions, pleasant atmosphere. was pleased to find this restaurant in elkhart (through urbanspoon). very family friendly. i'd definitely return.

wonderful dinner. we had a group for dinner in the private room - excellent food all around, great service. wine by the glass on thursdays is half price - good wine, good price. thank you, lucchese's.

pretty horrible.. atmosphere, service, and menu were appealing. i'm rating what both my wife and i ate:

soup of the day (a brunswick stew of sorts)
absolutely disgusting. the bouquet garni was left in it. many chunks of cloves and bay leaves. not edible towards the bottom. really meaty though, which is a good thing.

corned beef (the special of the day for st patty's day)
absolutely disgusting. corned beef is incredible easy to make, but they botched it. it was not servable. they obviously cooked the brisket and veggies in the corning spices. the evidence was a plate full of cloves, chunks of bay leaves, and what looked like juniper berries or peppercorns. secondly, the beef was very tough...not cooked low and slow. thirdly.....it wasn't even sliced aross the grain. this meal is in my top 5 of worst meals i've ever had. i still tasted freaking cloves the morning after....

my wife had the sausage lasagne. edible, not good. very amorphous and too saucy. the sauce tasted out of a jar. no flavor. i couldn't eat my meal so i ate what was left of hers.

very nice. i have eaten there many times and have not been disappointed. good atmosphere,food and drinks. my favorite dish is chicken marsala and have never felt rushed during dinning.

too fancy for me. i like more plain food. most people like it, but it doesn't suit me.

awesome place, awesome food!. i love the food variety, quality of the food preparation and staff. i will recommend this place to anybody who want to eat good italian food. the place is very cozy and comfortable. five stars from me!!!
