lucchese's italian restaurant

the best. its great to have real italian cuisine right in our own backyard. you could try italian restaraunts in big cities that wouldn't compare to luccheses.

always a great time. never disappointed with anything i have ordered at luccheses. as far as creating unique and tasty dishes they go well beyond what most any other restaurant in the area does. every visit to luccheses has been a good one. i would recommend this restaurant to others before any other restaurant in elkhart for great food, and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

typical generic elkhart food. i have tried this place 3 times when traveling from texas on business..very blah and generic italian food. i am not surprised, since this are of the midwest is not known for the greatest of foods. my partners and i did try the new restaurant across the way though, last week, and thats where everyone should be eating..the new smokehouse...best wings and sausage i have ever had!!

great every time. eat at luccheses frequently and have never been dissapointed. the specials are always execptional.

always undercooked. my co-workers and i ate here several times and every time my pasta was under cooked. i also felt rushed to eat. i have no idea how this restaurant could possibly be tops in elkhart. there are so many other restaurants that are waaaaaayyyyy better. try antonio's for good authentic italian.

worst....service...ever!. i have been to lucchese's three times over the past month because i needed to attend meetings or was invited. all three times (with different parties, combination of lunch or diinner, and with different servers) the service was horrible! not only were they rude, but we always felt rushed to hurry up and eat. my friend asked for more water and the server, literally sighed and said "okay". a different day, i was in a party of four and we asked for seperate bills (was never asked in the beginning what we preferred) and the server (female, older woman) seriously said to us "well, i can do that, but we are really busy and it will take an extra 15 minutes to do that". in all three times, we were never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything further. i was beginning to think that maybe i was a curse to this horrible service, but some friends that i dined with agreed that the place has definately gone down hill since moving to cr 17. on a plus side...the food was excellent. however, i have also heard rumblings around town that the restaurant is experiencing tough times. wouldn't you think if that were the case, more emphasis would be placed on having good service? i am one of those customers who still left honorable tips, won't complain to the management, but i will never, ever come back to eat or invite anyone else to eat at lucchese's again.

good.... when they were located downtown elkhart (jackson street), i ate here all the time. i work close by, and we were always in there for lunch.

their bread and dipping oil (yum!), pizza, pasta creations. all delicious. i would usually try one of the specials, but haven't tried one since they moved out to cr 17. last time i went the whole atmosphere has changed. granted it was dinner, and it's still nice, but it lost some of its old world charm with the location change.

the food is still yummy, and i also ordered some very delicious salads from the counter upon leaving. i will go back, but i miss the old lucchese's.

only been once, and although i didn't care much for my sandwich due to some weird olive loaf on it (which i shouldve know i wouldn't like) the atmosphere was very nice and the service was top notch.

it's a great place to eat. service i'd good the food is great an you always get a good glass of wine or cocktail to pair well with your meal. i deffinitly reccomend them to almost anyone new in town or out-of-towners.
