los guachos is reliably good.. this little place is a favorite "go-to" taco shop. the staff is always friendly and low key. the menu is simple. i order two things that are best in class citywide: the tacos al pastor, and thefishtacos. the al pastor is authentic fire roasted and hand turned. thefishtacos feature a generous piece of crispyfishwith their own sauce and shredded lettuce, with a squeeze of fresh lime and a little tabletop verde salsa, two is a perfect meal.

awesomefishtacos. recently stopped in at los guachos for the first time after hearing about the amazing al pastor gringas, and overall they did not disappoint! it's a very casual place when you walk in where you order at the counter and find a seat if you can. the tacos are fairly cheap, and they come out ridiculously fast which is great! i ordered a tripe taco, fishtaco, and an al pastor gringa. the tripe taco was pretty mediocre- very dry and average flavor, but the gringa was good. the pastor was tender, flavorful, and delicious and could be eaten on its own and thoroughly enjoyed! my gringa came with very little cheese and one very small slice of pineapple, so it's a good thing the meat was flavorful or i would have been disappointed. the star of the show was actually thefishtaco! it was very large for $2 compared to the $1.50 taco i got and it had perfectly fried fish, a little slaw, and a perfect mildly spicy sauce to finish it off. overall i will definitely come back to los guachos for thefishtacos, pastor meat, and fairly cheap prices.

no mo' gauchos for me!. couldn't wait to try los gauchos after hearing about them and reading all the positive reviews. we tried the gaucho burrito and 3 of the tacos, al pastor, chorizo and thefishtaco. my wife looked at me, after trying the burrito and said, "it has no flavor!" so, we opened it up. it had all the ingredients, but the meat was dried out and tough and had no flavor! i tried my taco al pastor. same deal, the meat was dry, tough and no flavor. i did taste the cilantro, onion, corn tortilla and the piece of pineapple, the size of a quarter on top. i did enjoy thefishtaco and the chorizo taco. but for my money, i'll stick with cuco's.

i don't eat pork, so i can't comment on los guachos' famous tacos al pastor, but i can comment on thefishtacos. they were, as my review title indicates, delicious and inexpensive. you just can't beat $2 for afishtaco. it was a little on the spicy side, but not so spicy i couldn't handle it. what a great place to go after having some drinks at a bar on bethel or sawmill.
