loved it!. went there for valentine's, best way to do it is to call ahead a couple hours prior to your arrival. they had a table ready for us as soon as we arrived and i didn't have to wait at all. for appetizer we had the sweet chili calamari, the sauce they put on them is delicious! for entree i had the outlaw ribeye, and it was amazing, cooked to perfection (medium) and the butter melting on the meat really gave it a great flavor. the mashed potatoes were amazing! i loved the bread also! overall great experience, will be back this weekend! props to themanagerwho gave me the heads up about calling ahead on st. valentine's evening.

this place has really went down the tubes. we sat at the bar for dinner and ordered an appetizer when ordering our meal. the bartender brought our salads out 10 minutes before the appetizer showed up. i ordered an 8 ounce filet and they brought me a sirloin. my friend ordered a sirloin medium rare and it came out medium well we sent her order back. i questioned themanagerabout the filet it was not round and thick. he said that they have different cuts depending on how it is ordered. i have no intention of going back to this place

mostly good, needs improvement in a few areas. pros: strawberry pecan salad is amazing, sweet potatoes, ribeye & filet usually good, parmesan crusted chicken is very good.

needs improvement: tried the regular baked potato last time and bad surprise- it wasn't good at all, waiting/seating process has sometimes seemed disorganized, floors looked dirty last couple times i have been there, men's room was all out of paper towels, have never had amanagerstop by the table and ask how everything's going...or even walk by the table as far as i could tell. i don't know where themanagerhangs out but i think most of these issues would be solved if they were roaming around the restaurant keeping an eye on things, especially during busy times. (go visit redrock canyon grill if you don't know how this is done).

rude. told wait was hour, had two beers in bar, checked with host after 1 hour-told 2nd on list......watched 4 2 tops set ahead of us. complained to the host guy who thought he worked at the best night club in vegas. asked for themanagerwho told us 'goodbye, have a nice night, we are busy, drive safe.' wow

dinner tonight, pretty good overall. update: 25 may 2014

we had dinner here, and the first bad experience. ian and i both ordered ribeyes, medium,. and got ribeyes, well done. it took a couple minutes to get our servers attention, but she immediately agreed they were completely overcooked. i asked, almost pleaded, that the meal not be hurried; i had a baked potato to keep me busy. the steaks came back still on the top end of medium, just a hint of faint pink in the center. themanagerbrought them. i was on the verge of sending them back again (i hate wasting a meal, this was very hard for me), but themanagerpreempted me by telling us the streaks were comp'd. there was no way in heck i would send them back then. a medium-to-medium well steak beats the heck out of well done, dry steak any day.

so maybe a trainee cook, but this was the first steak i've had from a longhorn that was sent back. themanagerdid the right thing by us, though, and we'll keep going back.

our family of four ate dinner here this evening. we started with three bowls of potato soup and a ceasar salad. raegan got the trout, erin got the parmesan chicken, ian got a ribeye, and i got the chopped steak. everyone except for me reported their meals were excellent. i think my chopped steak could have been improved by replacing the "wine sauce" with gravy. i had ordered it medium well, but it was just over well done (not a bad thing since chopped steak is hamburger that needs to be cooked to kill bugs).

the iced tea, soup, salad, and bread were all very good. service was excellent. our check was 89.41.

i like longhorn. the longhorn, saltgrass, and logans chains are the gold standard for a very good steak at a reasonable price.

not impressed at all. my husband, 1 year old and i all ordered steaks and it took an hour to get them out to us. the cook "forgot" to put my husbands steak on the grill. the other 2 steaks, i'm sure, just sat in a warmer for half an hour because they were very tough. we spoke with themanagerand she told us we were not going to be charged for it thankfully. it was our first and last visit there.

cooks can't cook. i usually order my steak cooked medium as at most steak houses your get it on the medium rare side. but longhorn's menu has a very nice scale and description corresponding to the cooking scale. so i ordered mine medium rare thinking they would cook it as indicated. wrong! it was a beautiful thick sirloin, but very rare. sent it back only to receive another the same way. the complimentary cocktail was not worth the unsatisfactory experience. the waiter andmanagerseemed they couldn't care less.

won a giftcard to go here from work. i don't think i would actually spend any of my own money. steak was subpar. like i went to ihop or applebee's. and themanagerkept having conversations with the staff about kitchen issues right next to our table. go away!

nice restaurant. i have been dining at longhorn for quite some time and i am usually impressed. on my last visit, my girlfriend ordered a well done ribeye and i ordered a medium-rare ribeye. both steaks came to the table medium. less than 5 minutes later, themanagercae by to ask how was everything. we reported that the steak temps were a little off and he insisted that we be brought two new perfectly cooked steaks. when we got the check, only the appetizer and drinks were on it. themanagerturned this into a perfect evening by fixing the problem. we will surely return.

manager scored points!. we received a gift card for christmas, so my husband and i wanted to try longhorn and use our gift card. we had a short wait for a table (on a tuesday night), so we went to the bar. the bartender made excellent cocktails and was friendly even though he was slammed and the only one on duty that night. we were seated about 10 - 15 mins. later. our waiter came over promptly and asked about drink or appetizer orders. he didn't mention any specials (maybe there weren't any?). we ordered the spinach-artichoke dip which was bland and unmemorable; try something else as your appetizer. the waiter came back and took our food order. we were enjoying a rare night out, chatting and didn't notice that about 45 mins. had passed. the waiter came over and said something about them putting in a new computer system and that was causing problems in the kitchen and the resulting delays. shortly thereafter, themanagercame by and said dinner would be on them and he apologized profusely for the delay. funny thing was, we weren't even upset. my husband and i both ordered prime rib, medium rare. his was fine; mine was bloody and cold. it literally wasn't cooked. back to the kitchen it went. the waiter brought it back and it was cooked to the correct degree. i've had better prime rib before, but it was good enough. i will try the steak next time. the waiter was attentive and the delay was not his fault. i would give the longhorn another chance and see if they've improved.

went there last night. it wasn't busy and we were seated right away. unfortunately, no one came to wait on us for over 15 minutes. we got a server and he did his best, but the kitchen staff forgot 1/2 of my meal and it wasn't ready until we were ready to leave. we saw themanagera number of times but he never came over to apologize or anything. it was terrible.

seating management was terrible. we had an interesting first experience saturday evening, 2-18-12. we were told there was a 55 minute wait at about 6:30p. there was a nice bar and a pleasant staff there to pass the wait, but i started to notice numerous tables were either clean & empty or in need of being bussed. at one point there were probably 20+ or so people in the lobby awaiting tables, and 11, yes, eleven, tables or booths ready for guests for more than 15 minutes.

it seemed themanagermust've been told by his doctor to avoid any form of exertion and to limit his movement to a snail's pace. he was in full compliance if that was the case. there was no pep to his step, ever. he never once asked a patron how they were doing or welcomed a customer. on the other hand, the wait-staff and kitchen moved quickly in spite of the manager's poor example.

our waiter jace was pleasant and provided excellent service, and the meal was very good and reasonably priced.

overall, a hat tip to the menu, kitchen and wait-staff, but thatmanagerhas simply got to get with it, or go!

longhorn steakhouse overall. the only thing nice about longhorn is the appearance and atmosphere of the restaurant. first the hostess, tried to sit me and my husband at a huge booth that sits 8 people i told her no and that we want a regular size booth and she said she only has 2 large booths and again i told her no and i pointed at a reg size booth that was empty and she still had to say "well that's going to be a different server" which i don't care. we ordered the steaks with lobster tails and shrimp, my husbands lobster tail was under cooked and smelled bad which could of cause a major health problem. also his melted butter for his lobster tail was spilled all over his plate, he called it sloppy and messy. we had to wait about 5 mins for the waitress to come and take it away and get it corrected. themanagerdid come out to let us know he was sorry. before we left we seen the hostess again trying to sit a couple at a huge booth again and they also were telling her no, the hostess had an attitude. we are not ever going to eat here again, if one is looking for a great steak that would be cattlemens. the food here was not that great, not worth the money.

please..no more. i have been to longhorn steakhouse twice. on both occasions i sat at the bar, and the service there was decent to good both times. the food, however, is horrible. the first time i visited longhorn i ordered a filet, medium rare, and my friend ordered a ribeye, medium. my filet came out more medium than medium rare, but was a decent steak. my friend's ribeye, however, came out well done rather than medium. the bartender saw the mistake, and promptly sent the steak back. this actually repeated itself several times, all with wildly varying steaks and cook times. themanagersuggested that we take the steak(s) home, so each time they boxed it up for us. we actually left with six steaks, all of which were terrible. the second time i visited i shared some appetizers, and they were not impressive but the drinks were good and the service was average. maybe i would go here for happy hour if my friends insisted....

delicious steak. they have a very affordable "lunch steak" selection.
i ordered the 12oz "renegade top sirloin" which came to about $13 and some change before tax.
the "parmesan crusted" option is well worth it. (about a quarter inch of melted parmesan cheese on top of the steak.)

the loaded baked potato was cooked just right. (it wasn't overcooked.) probably could have used a bit more cheese and some scallions or chives. it had plenty of bacon, butter and sour cream.

themanagercame to visit our table and stuck around just long enough to make sure we were all smiles.
