no flavor.......except for burned!. our meal began with a very nice greeting by the manager. he sat us at an oversized booth in the back and our waitress brought us some phenomenal honey wheat bread. that's where the good points run out. we started with the texas tonion which is clearly a deconstructed rip-off of outback's bloomin' onion, only not as good. it was waaaaaaaay too salty and the sauce (also a rip-off) had no real "zip". we asked for some ranch dressing to dip in, and eventually got it after waiting for 5 minutes for our waitress to pass back by and asking for it, again. by the time she returned, the onion was cold, though my bf ate it anyway. we both ordered the 18oz bone-in ribeyes (mine medium-rare, his medium) with baked potatoes as the side and caesar salads. i have never in my life seen a pink caesar dressing until tonight. it didn't look or taste anything like a caesar should. the steaks came out, and they were both wildly overdone. i do not send food back to the kitchen, so i began eating it, but after about 3 bites i knew i couldn't go any further. the char flavor was the only flavor at all. like i kept licking an old charcoal grill. no salt, no meaty flavor, just burned. i pushed it to the side and tried to eat around the bad spots in my baked potato. the waitress finally noticed (after letting my bf's tea run out again) that i wasn't eating. she asked if i wanted a box. i said "no, i'm not going to eat that. it's terrible, and i'm not blaming you at all, i simply can't eat it". she said "oh, do you want me to get a manager?" i'm going to take a side bar here and say this: why in the hell do no restaurants train their servers anymore?!? i've waited tables. it's a cardinal rule you don't ask a customer if they want to see a manager. you apologize, then remove the "offending item" from the table, and notify the manager. the end. the manager, though nice, was obviously pretty fresh. he did take the meal off the ticket, but as he was walking away stated "all you have to do is let us know you don't like it". um, isn't that what i did?!? i should've cooked tonight........
