stopped by for a pre lunch snack. thecabinethad plenty of cakes, quiches and other delights behind the glass. most of the items looked really nice and the portions were decent.

i had a chocolate, beetroot and salted caramel cake. my manager order a beetroot quiche. the cake came out fairly fast, as well as the hot chocolate. the hot chocolate didn't have much flavour. the cake was really nice. the chocolate on top was tempered. the cake itself was very moist and the flavour was quite nice. the salted caramel had the right balance of salt and sweet.

the quiche did take a while to come out but that was because it was put into the oven to warm. quite surprised they didn't have cold drink on offer, just water on tap when asked.

fair amount of seating and it was quiet enough to be able to talk.

absolutely amazing! a cute, cosy and vibrant cafe that serve onlycabinetfood and delicious beverages hot and cold, my favourite was the raspberry & lemon soda mmmmm!

came through with my mother inlaw as she's been here before and highly recommended it and i've got to say, the place definitely lived upto her hype. had the vegie quiche served with the most delish tomato relish and a side of salad, 10/10!!!! staff were great, very laid back and easy going people who love to spark a convo with you which was awesome.

highly recommend giving this place a try and definitely try their desserts because those donuts were out of this world. definitely coming back again

little and friday is one of my favourite places to eat - as long as i get there early in the day.
this newmarket branch is the closest to my house and after going to the one in the north shore, i was really excited to see that they had opened up one closer to me.

all of the food iscabinetfood, such as quiches and pies. every time i've been here, i've been pretty impressed with the quality of the food although it's notorious for having a lack of seasoning in their pastries.
when i went here with rhiannon baldock, i ordered the blue cheese, pear and prosciutto galette and she had the quiche loraine. my galette was delicious. the base was super crispy and buttery, the blue cheese was present but not overpowering, the pear was soft and cooked perfectly. i was so impressed with the whole thing.
i also ordered a chocolate beetroot cake with salted caramel which was incredibly moist and delectable. i'm glad i only had half with a rhiannon.
overall, i'm pretty impressed with their gourmetcabinetfood.
note - they don't have a menu so it's allcabinetfood!

i am usually hesitant to leave the comfort of north shore for food as traffic and parking can be awful but i am so glad i decided to go, because i got to experience the wonderful taste of @littleandfriday!! i met 2 friends here for coffee and wow, i am still dreaming of the wonderful food.

the interior of little & friday is minimalistic and clean, with a clear view into the kitchen area. thecabinetis filled with so much beautiful food, whether baked or cooked.

🍌 i had such a hard time choosing what to order but i ended up ordering the banana & caramel brioche ($9). i am a sucker for banana and walnut, and this brioche was not exception. the banana cake was softly sweet and soft, which balanced out perfectly the sweeter caramel and icing. the sugared walnut was also a nice touch, adding some crunch to the texture. in fewer words: this brioche was delectable.

🧊 i also ordered an iced mocha which tasted wonderfully caffeine, and was the perfect partner-in-crime to the brioche. the coffee flavour created an interesting new taste when consumed at the same time as the brioche.

🍩 🧅 🧀 my friends decided to order the raspberry cream donut ($6.50), the caramelised onion scone ($6.50) and the cheese scone ($6.50). the donut was wonderfully light and fluffy, and the cream tasted like a warm embrace with the raspberry added a welcomed sourness. the caramelised onion scone had the perfect caramelised onion, and even today i am still dreaming about it. the cheese scone was also perfectly cheesy and when smothered with butter, made me feel more and more fulfilled with every bite.

overall, i would rate:

thecabinetfood is beautiful and looks appetising but after a few visits, it’s a bit of a hit or miss. very cute place though. the doughnuts are great though

absolutely love this place and the food! always a hard decision deciding on what to order - the doughnuts are to die for, as are the caramelised onion and feta tarts... and the cinnamon date brioche... aargh they are all so good. service is not always the fastest and thecabinetbarely changes but then again, what’s the need when it’s already sooo good with sooo many options😋

perfect for a lunch date if you want something light. cozy and comfortable. had pumpkin quiche and sandwiches. didn’t get to try out the menu food butcabinetfood itself looks good and would go back for more !

the bestcabinetfood in all of auckland! every time i go i just want to eat everything!! my favourites are the quiche, apple crumble tart and especially the donuts! they are massive and fresh - the best being the banana caramel! 😋😋

little and friday is a great place to dine at, if you're craving their desserts! my absolute favourite would be the lemon coconut! theircabinetfood is a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth it! it's not too sweet and i just love the taste of lemon going down my throat! i love it! i was quite disappointed with this look-a-like quiche. i took a few bites and to be honest it tasted a little bland. i also tried their coffee, and it wasn't that satisfying either. their coffee supplier is from eighthirty, and i was hoping to get a good cuppa. nevertheless, this place is definitely worth a visit if you want desserts!

we ordered: bruschetta of smashed avocado 🥑 $18, a generous serving of avo (i suspect 2 large avocados worth) seasoned with lime and coriander sprinkled with goats cheese. was sooo yummy but was it worth $18? maybe during winter when avo prices are rocket 🚀 high but during summer 🏝 you can probably whip it up at home at a fraction of the price. wrap (around $12) was a good size and quiche (around $10) was creamy, they nailed the texture too👍🏻! appreciated the side of salad 🥗 that accompanied thecabinetfood💕. the raspberry donut 🍩(around $6) was divine. not too sweet and the perfect filling to bread ratio 🙌🏽.

average price: $23 including drinks 🥤

vibes: casual business meeting 📁 or brunch with family friends. either or 🤷🏽‍♀️

parking: free parking in front of the cafe. 🚘

negative: perhaps consider decreasing the price of your avo 🥑 on toast 🍞. come on $18 is a bit steep 😬 . introducing more food on the actual menu would be great too as there are only 6 items on the new market menu.

loved: free sparkling water! 💦 little and friday will always have a special place in my heart 💓 because it’s one of the first cafes that put effort into making their food look 👀 just as good as it tastes in auckland! kudos for maintaining the quality food and service throughout the years 👏🏼! also love the animal table ‘numbers’ though ours was a whale missing its mandible 🐳. lighting is also ideal for gram pics 📷 haha.

this cafe has one of the bestcabinetfoods on offer from sweet delights to savoury goodies. i have yet to have an average tasting item from this place and doubt it'll happen anytime soon. the staff are really friendly and all know what they are doing and it shows. the cinnamon donuts are a must and their coffee is great.

we’ve ordered team morning teas from here on several occasions and it’s always a tough decision deciding what to eat.

there’s several cake options andcabinetsavouries to choose from. i personally like the lamington (looks like a christmas tree).

this place is great! such a cute cafe with beautiful decor, and a beautifulcabinetfilled to the brim of gorgeous savouries and sweets. it has an awesome vibe, and lovely staff.
came here to pick up a couple treats from the cabinet, was absolutely stoked with the incredible jam doughnut we had. gorgeous and extremely delicious. also had a really tasty kind of lemon curd cupcake. very sweet, but can’t fault that.
amazing spot, very cute place to come for some afternoon tea to catch up with a girlfriend of something. highly recommend. will be back!

always wanted to go and was very satisfied with the food!
came in on a saturday morning and it was already packed. too many nice stuff in thecabinetand took me a while to make decision. we got a large breakfast frittata and small beetroot quiche with latte and not chocolate. they were heated up in the oven and smelt so nice. i don’t usually put potato in my frittata so i was bit surprised to see their frittata having potato. regretted a bit coz it was quite full and i ordered a big frittata🤦🏻‍♀️ hot chocolate was average, nothing special.
things i didn’t like were that the price was not written and everything was on the pricey side actually. flies were around all the time so it was a bit annoying
but will definitely come back to try all the food in the cabinet!!

this place has a real nice environment for breakfast. the cakes are amazing, just how i like it, not too sweet but sweet enough, just the right amount of flavor. as for the wrap, it was a pleasant surprise. i was expecting a menu with something like eggs benedict and big breakfast but i didn't see any so i ordered the wrap. i can say that i could eat that wrap 3 meals a day. there was bacon, hash, egg and salad, felt like a whole breakfast plate wrapped together and not taste messy at all, btw the wrap itself is crispy!!! the barista makes good coffee so that's a plus. the pastry is the star in this cafe, definitely recommended. everything in thecabinetlooked very beautiful so you might have difficulty choosing. im going to go back and try everything they serve and update later.
